Nah, it's just a Time Lord sinus infection. His nose just gets stuffed up with a few extra spatial dimensions for a few days. After that, he'll end up sneezing out a six-dimensional chunk of Time Snot (where do you think all the organic texture in the TARDIS came from?) and everything will go back to normal.
But can you imagine what would happen if he ever got bronchitis? The poor man would spend WEEKS hacking up chunks of parallel dimensions. I don't know if I'd feel worse for him, or for wherever he happened to stop to lay up for a few days!
