Lost. A bit.
Hi...  Erm, as you probably gathered, I'm a bit lost!  What I'd like to do is post a request for a co-writer somewhere appropriate, but unfortunately I'm new to the Whoniverse and haven't a clue where to go.  Anybody able to help?

Cheers (and apologies for the OT-ness of this post - I have a feeling the mods will be down on me as soon as I click the 'post' button, but I'm desperate enough to risk it)!

Extra Hamlet ticket for September 1st
Okay, so I know this is on really short notice, but I have an extra ticket for the performance on Monday, Sept 1st!

The seat will be in 4th row (Row D, seat 14 - see here* for a map of the theatre), so it's a really nice one.

All you need is a transportation device (be it car or by bus or whatever) to get you to Stratford, and of course a place to stay overnight (I just booked a hostel place in Alveston and I think they still have places available).

We will have to meet in front of the theatre before the show or a bit earlier, but I guess it's gonna be a great evening :)

I'm looking forward to meet someone to squee over David and Shakepeare with! :D

P.S.: If you have a friend who wants a ticket but doesn't watch this comm, redirect them here.

* property of [info]__kali__ - thanks.

Extra Hamlet Ticket
Hi, I'm new to this comm and don't know if this is allowed, but a friend of mine said that I might find someone here in need of a ticket for Hamlet. I'll be travelling to Stratford next month and the friend I had originally planned on going with can't make it so I've got an extra ticket for the performance on Monday, September 15. The seats are not too spectacular - waited a week too long and only got Upper Gallery - but I'm glad I got tickets *at all* -- and someone can still share the experience.

So if you're interested and would like to join me that night, give me a yell:-)

A request to everyone from the Hamlet meet up.
Hope you all had a most excellent and cultured time and sorry I couldn't join you this time!  I'd love to read all your long, indepth reviews (and general shenanigans!)  and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one who'd appreciate it if you linked to your reviews in this thread.  I won't be going until November, but it's been brilliant to read people's accounts so far.

Thanks in advance.

Stratford - When/where to meet
It's this weekend, people! Yay!

Er, I'm getting a bit excited, sorry. As I'm leaving the internet behind pretty soon to go on this epic journey, I wanted to ask when you'll all arrive in Stratford and when/where we'll meet before the play? Some of you have my mobile number, but it would be nice to know where I'll have to go in case I'm late or something :)

Hamlet role call
Well I couldn't use the panto icon, it's not panto! I need a hamlet icon.

Anyway, I just want to make sure that 1) have we got the right number of people for the tickets (spare kali that much), so everyone who thinks they have a ticket currently being held by Kali please pipe up and leave a comment saying so. I think I has two, one for me and one for my mum. Who else? Oh, I'll pipe up for Nogbad too, since she might not see this.

And 2) So there's no arguements there, who wants to sit with who? Obviously Sparks, Helen, Mel and Piper are all set, but everyone else who would you like to sit next to? I won't tell people where to sit, but hopefully this will give a chance to smooth things out now rather than whilst there. I believe my presence has been requested next to Nogbad (so I can hold the smelling salts), and obviously Kali, Doylesfan (and someone else) are as close as we can physically get them to the stage without nicking someone else's seats. Anyone else got a really good arguement why they need to be as close as possible? The loveliness of Tennent and their own height are not good reasons. Otherwise bribes are welcome, but please remember that Kali retains ultimate control. I'm only doing this to try and keep people happy and stop scraps amonst this group of fangirls. Sal, I'm assuming that you and OH are sitting next to each other?

Oh 3) What do people say to a picnic on the saturday? Probably be after the play but still. I'm sure we can get bits there but thought it would be a good chance to sit around, eat, drink, talk Tennent and Who and not having to find somewhere big enough.

4) Who's up for friday evening meal? Who's going to be there? If we know then we can maybe find somewhere big enough for us.

You know how I keep asking if it's august yet and keep getting told no? Well it nearly is now. [grin] I can't wait.

Annual Summer Meet-up 2008 - Hamlet - Update!
Just got this from the RSC

Dear Hamlet Ticket Booker

We are delighted that you are coming to The Courtyard Theatre this year and we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you about our photography policy at the theatre, traffic updates and some information about the resale of tickets.

Photography

Given the profile of the actors who are involved in our production of Hamlet we understand that there might be a temptation to record or photograph parts of the production. This can be incredibly distracting to actors and other audience members and can cause significant disruption to the performance. We ask that you do not take photographs whilst in The Courtyard Theatre.

For further information we ask that you refer to the Terms and Conditions of Sale printed on the reverse of your tickets or visit the RSC Website.

We hope that you will understand that should anyone breach these conditions they may be refused admission or ask them to leave during the performance.

If you would like images of the production, there are souvenir high quality production images available to buy in our shops in the form of postcard packs, posters and programmes.

Planned Roadworks On A46 Summer 2008 – Autumn 2009

Roadworks are currently underway on the A46 either side of the M40 junction 15 (Longbridge) Roundabout.

We would strongly recommend that everyone visiting Stratford-upon-Avon checks travel information and allows sufficient extra time for their journey -
