( Wedding vows )
What do you think?
EDITED: Changed with help from
I'm sure this has been discussed a long time ago, so with series four drawing to a close, I thought I'd bring the topic up again.
I only started watching during the first new!Who series, so I don't know much about old!Who, but I do know that the Last Great Time War occurred between the old series and the new series. At first I thought it was just something that everybody already knew about perhaps by audio stories or books, that all of the facts and the circumstances were common knowledge. While we do know a lot, we don't know the entire story behind it.
I think it would be something interesting to see, but at the same time I think the mystique behind it is better than actually knowing the terms and conditions of it. It's better, probably, to not know.(I was actually having a conversation about it with a friend of mine who favors Sylvester McCoy's Doctor.) We know who it involved, what happened, etc. I'm just curious as to how other fans feel about the lack of total explanation provided. And, on that note, if there's a detailed depiction of it, does someone know where I could find one? I've already looked at the Who!Wiki and it's interesting, but inconclusive, which I think I've already said about five times in this post. Sorry about that.
And if this makes absolutely no sense at all, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
According to what we know, it's impossible for 10 to go to Gallifrey because it's destroyed. Also, he says he can't go back to before the time war.
However, the whole way through 5's timeline as the Doctor, Gallifrey is present and exists. So could 5 have taken 10 to 5's "present Gallifrey" or not?
Gallifrey probably has a straight timeline so at the point of 5 meeting 10, Gallifrey probably wouldn't have been there. However, as I said earlier, we know (from watching the classic series), that 5 could go to Gallifrey anytime because it was always there for him. And, as "Time Crash" is canon, how does that fit in?
Obviously they avoided this question in the episode, but it's quite complicated... any thoughts?
The rest is here in my journalIs Gallifrey really gone?
Do you want to see Gallifrey again?
Do you have a possible theory on the whole thing if you believe Gallifrey ISN'T gone..?
Yes, I have a theory![]()
