So I was sifting through pictures a few weeks ago and noticed something.

Just a bit o' silliness. :P I don't particularly see any resemblance anywhere else but in those pictures it seemed rather uncanny! HEEHEE.

No matter how many times I watch it and what reasons I try to come up with, there's one aspect of the series four finale episodes which is always going to bother me.

Has anyone managed to come up with a decent reason as to why

"Do you mean The Fires of Pompeii?" My cousin nods and I beam. This is great! I started them off on Rose and they've gone three plus seasons without any additional cajoling or bribery.

"Isn't Donna amazing?" I smile and take a pull on my Pepsi. They exchange glances.

Years ago, I read that everyone has a "secret judgment" movie. A movie that you can't help but use to judge people based on whether or not they like it. Mine are The Royal Tenenbaums,and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Sitting in the food court, it occurred to me that I might have judgment Who companions and episodes as well. Had they said they didn't like Rose, I would have been disappointed but I wouldn't have felt the need to defend her honor.

So, what companions, episodes, or aspects of Who - if any - do you secretly judge people on?

A guy I met on one of the many dating sites out there, in response to my saying I'm having trouble with money right now, said "wish there were some way i could help you but i am not rich so i can not pay all your bills plus i would have to turn you into my own little play toy if i did."

His "own little play toy"? My first thought was 'not a snowball's chance, mate'. I use a lot of British English on a regular basis, but never 'mate', so where did that come from? I realized after a moment the thought was taking on a voice and the voice sounded a lot like Donna. *G* Thinking about how Donna would respond if a man said anything about making her into his "little play toy" is incredibly amusing. I think some fists (hers) would be involved as well.

I would love to sit down with Donna, get a pint of cider, and talk about how worthless and beneath women like us some men are. *G* We'd also talk about how all the ones worth having were all taken or gay and if she could set me up with Captain Jack. ;D

Has anyone else sat down and watched The Runaway Bride again since series four ended? I did this the other night and although I always liked the special anyway, it's so much more powerful and meaningful now.

I think they handled Donna's return fantastically too. They toned her down and altered her a little so she'd work as a long term companion, but her essence is basically the same.

If you've not watched TRB since series four, give it a go. Even though I enjoyed it before I really love it now.

I went to see the play Under The Blue Sky this afternoon in London and I was lucky enough to get to meet Catherine Tate at the stage door afterwards. There was a small but still reasonably sized crowd gathered, but she was lovely and was signing and posing for anyone who approached her. I got her to scribble in my autograph book and managed to exchange a few words that went a bit like:

Me: It was a lovely play.
CT: Thank you.
Me: I loved you in Doctor Who, you broke my heart. You kept making me cry.
CT: Aw, I'm sorry.

Short but sweet. Her hair is even more magnificent in person and she's definitely slimmer than she looks on camera. She's more petite than I'd expected.

I know we've just about done to death the topic of Journey's End and What Happened in the Last Ten Minutes, but, well, I'm a single working mother with very little time to do anything else except think about fictional characters, and this is the one place I know I can go to without people thinking I'm completely mad, so if I may, I would like to share some of my ponderings with you.

Spoilers, of course. And predictions.

What year/make/model is Donna's little blue car? Is it a Toyota Vitz/Echo/Yaris? A Toyota Voltz/Matrix/Pontiac Vibe? Or a Honda Jazz/Fit? Or is it something else entirely that doesn't have a North American cousin? (My Google-fu and archive-hunting have failed, so I apologize in advance if this has already been covered.)
