I hate being sick. It seriously suck, especially when it's school happening now. But then, it's because of school I'm sick. New students, meeting people again that you haven't seen for a few months. BLEH. It seriously sucks.

What sucks even more is the fact that I'm so freaking busy with real life, I don't have time to do anything I want to do. That is something that sucks even more. :(

BLEH BLEH BLEH. :(

6th-Sep-2008 09:15 am - LIMS!
So, as it happens, I'm going to join two LIMS contents now. I want to do something that has to do with competing. Anyhow, here is just some pimpage for the LIMS I'm entering. You can always sign up too! ;)

Wiee! I'll make another post later today with some ramblings. XD Damn this cold. I hate being sick. >_
5th-Sep-2008 11:09 pm - this is a call out
I'm looking for someone to make between 8-10 banners for my davidcookonline.net gallery.
Anyone on my flist want to take up the cause?
The size needs to be 810x120 to fit into the theme. You can use any images of David, any color scheme, etc.
You can check out the theme at http://www.davidcookonline.net/cpg
Right now I've just got two plain revolving headers, because I'll admit I'm too lazy to make them.

Help, please?
Thanks!
5th-Sep-2008 06:36 pm - Just for fun...
I discovered this clever website Valenth, wherein you can adopt little egg widgets that hatch into...somethings...over time. Sort of like Tamagotchi's for the web. This isn't exactly a new concept for the internet, or among graphic design nerds, but I particularly like the steampunk/fantasy feel of the Valenth website. Registration is free.

Can't wait to see what these turn into. :)

5th-Sep-2008 09:21 pm - Another US remake of a Brit show
I'm watching the CBS fall preview show and they had clips from "Eleventh Hour" and as the preview is showing I realize I've seen it before! As the story unfolded in the clips, it was so familiar. The CBS version is a remake of the BBC show of the same name that starred Patrick Stewart.
I'm stil going to catch this version because it's got Rufus Sewell in it and I like him.
6th-Sep-2008 12:45 am - Rome (Days 1 - 2)
So I finally arrived in Rome, Italy and I've kind of gotten settled. It's so beautiful and different and dirty and noisy here. So here is basically a  round up of my days in Italy. It was pretty fun :) (or you know really fun)

I'm going to the dance tonight! A well-known local reggae band is playing.

I hope I don't have a lame time.

That's all for now, kiddos.

PS. I need to comment and stuff. I ♥ you all. And whenever I type something like that, I literally think, "I Alt+3 you all."

yeah, I know I'm crazy. By now I joined two LIMS (one Gossip Girl and now [info]doctor_who_lims) and I'm still in the current round of [info]moonlightrumble. Let's see if I can deal with all that besides running my own rumble and school starting in a bit more than one week^^

Well, actually I just wanted to promote [info]doctor_who_lims a bit. It looks nicely set up and I'm sure it'll be fun:D Sign Ups for round 4 are open now. Round 4 is all about season 1 of New Who.

5th-Sep-2008 03:51 pm - Manoman

5th-Sep-2008 04:50 pm - i posted arts!

the rest of the icons & banners (which all feature Cranford, North & South and Wives & Daughters) are all here.

Finally watched Starter For 10 today and as lovely as Brian/Rebecca are my OTP on that was totally Brian/Spencer! James McAvoy & Dominic Cooper are just too awesome together. And Simon Woods was in it! For a little bit, anyway. But he wore a dress. :/
And no way Catherine Tate is old enough to be James McAvoy's Mum. Right?
5th-Sep-2008 03:19 pm - on deminishing corpses, sexy sci-fi, and giggling paper-pushers
i've worked out (despite my friend's insistence) that this zombie movie is, more or less, a "indie student" film, which will either entail utter hilarity, or complete boredom. it's got a relatively small budget, a n00b director and cinematographer, but it has a great tech crew and actually already has release contracts which is amazing. so it could be awful (a green creative team is always a little interesting, and can go either way), or it could be awesome (small, cheap crews means no one's an asshole, you knit together when it gets tough, new friends, and there's usually lots of laughs).

still, if all falls apart completely, i will always have my stickily supportive zombies for company (bad news, though: my living dead numbers have been downgraded. to make room for a bigger post-production budget, they've cut my gaggle of soulless corpses to a mere twenty or so!). i must say, i had a nice little giggle when i started seeing this all throughout today's updated production schedule:

so anyway, i'm slightly sick with all the bad weather we've had lately, it's pissing down with rain and i'm listening to an epicly depressing/uplifting mix of songs (yes, they can be both). work doesn't start until next week and i've prepped as much as i really can at this point in time. i've got a few hours till i start cooking mum her birthday dinner (san choy bow for an entree, sweet and sour hoi sin pork stir-fry for mains, with hazelnut cream pudding and rocky road for desert... YUM), so i think i'm gonna take it pretty easy 'till then.

in fact, i'm going to make up a bowl of popcorn, turn out the lights, open the blinds and have an afternoon of watching joe flanigan. yes. i like this idea. i've never done this before (a "themed" period of viewing), but i'm really in the mood due to a lack of atlantis, and i've finally been able to get my hands on thoughtcrimes, his episodes of women's murder club, cupid, and a few old sga eppies. huzzah.

and now for some spam.

this makes me want to cry (not the topic, just the pictures). after early 2009, there will be no more weekly space rangers in leather. screw you sci-fi for making things so fckn sexy in leather.

4th-Sep-2008 11:15 pm - Criminey
Seriously, is it possible to be in love with a song? I am with "I Don't Care", the new Fall Out Boy single.
I want to marry it.
4th-Sep-2008 08:55 pm - i didn't need you to be interesting, so i didn't listen to you when you talked
Guys, it is so late right now (shut up, 9 is late for me right now). It's late and I have a fucking temperature and my throat still hurts (the basic milk to combat the acidic ... acid didn't seem to work as well as I'd hoped) and the fucking Gossip Girl I'm watching right now (shut up, I just wanted to be able to fake-watch something and I'm too into Skins, SPN, Secret Life, and Top Model - well, not really, but I didn't think to load/find it before starting Modern Euro - to watch them while not really watching them) has the audio different from the video and there's like a PHANTOM MOUTHGUARD on my shoulder or something.

And I just spent EXACTLY SEVENTY-TWO MINUTES AND TWENTY-SEVEN SECONDS reading, taking notes on, and answering questions on pages for Modern Euro. That is so not cool. At all. That's over two hours. That's like a fucking movie, guys. A MOVIE. A short movie, but a movie nonetheless.

I'm really fucking tired right now.
So, goodnight. Just felt like ranting/yelling/bitching. Live with it, I promise to make a happy post soon, maybe even that Top 15 Male Characters picspam I've been meaning to finish, and I love you guys.

Night.

Thanks to everyone that gave me their love and support today, aww. It was very helpful, my science skills kick ass now. Sort of.

Anyway, for the ones who care: I talked to a teacher (yes, I have contacts on the inside, mwhahaha) and he told me a lot about the teachers that will examine me in the artistic subjects, and he told them about me, and he said those are the important ones. He's also going to talk to the ones for the oral exams and tell me about them as soon as he can, but he's sure they'd prefer it if I talked first and prepared a kind of mini-thesis instead of waiting for them to ask me questions.

So I have a whole physics-astronomy-biology-EVERY SCIENTIFIC SUBJECT IS CONNECTED thing ready. Niiice, Ery, niiice. (Hey, I know it's easy, but I suck at science, give me a break. It's better than anything I've ever done before with those scientific...things, uh.)

I'm still behind with the Art History mini-thesis-thing but that exam's on the 12th. There's lots of time! ...Really!

Anyway, the practical examinations come first. So tomorrow I'll spend the day at Grandpa's and I'll sleep there, I'm going to practice at Plastic & Painting stuff with him.
Saturday & Sunday I'm practicing at the Geometric stuff and deciding the Art History subjects for the MTS (mini-thesis-thing, yeah, tired of repeating that).
Also, probably more science. Just for kicks! ...Not really.

Then the exams start, and after I come home, have lunch and rest I start super-intense revising for the subject of the day after.

Gosh, too tired now. Going to sleep. *hugs you all*

P.S. Watch [info]heroes_bigboom. Seriously, you want to.

4th-Sep-2008 01:01 pm - Prompt!
So this popped up as a Word of the Day today:

Ressentiment
A feeling of resentment and hostility accompanied by the lack of means to express or act upon it.

This feels like a Mylar prompt.

Um... yep, that's all I have to say.

I just finished summing up a book of physics in three pages. I felt accomplished, until I realized I still have four books (of which one is STILL PHYSICS) to sum up.
4th-Sep-2008 10:36 am - Take me to gray gardens tonight

Rufus Wainwright is coming to Israel on November 26!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!! And I just bought tickets! Yay!!!! Woohoo!!!

I'm so excited. (:

I bought 3 tickets, for me, for my cousin and for my mother. We got great sits in the middle of the 7 raw. (:

I saw him in London in July and he was brilliant, but I was alone and the crowed really sucked and I didn't have a good sit so all of that ruined the concert a bit for me.

So when I heard Rufus is coming to Israel I was so happppppppy!!!!!!!!! Now I have better sits and I'm going to be with my family and I could annoy them all the time and tell them how excited I'm, and also after the concert in London was over I juts told myself how much I wanted to see him again and again and I couldn't wait until I got to see him again.

And I can't believe this is really happening! I can't believe he's really coming to Israel! Weeeee! (:

I think I'm exaggerating a bit, lol. (:

Paul Mccartney and Jose Gonzalez are also coming soon to Israel and maybe I'll go thier concerts too. (:
