About| Welcome! | This is ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} doctor_rose_las, a Last Author Standing Challenge for Doctor/Rose fans. Every two weeks, a prompt will be given. Participants will write a fic for the prompt, and voting will eliminate people for each challenge until we have the Last Author Standing. There will be more than one round, so if you miss the current one, feel free to stick around until sign-ups for the next round begin! |
| Sign-Ups | Everyone who wants to participate must sign-up at the Sign-Up Post. Sign-ups will continue until the first challenge is issued. Anyone can sign-up! Experience is not necessary. |
| Prompts | Every week, a post containing one prompt will be posted. Prompts can be anything, including but not limited to quotes, pictures, and emotions, and may be chosen from suggestions given by participants at sign-up. |
| Fics | All fics must focus on the relationship between The Doctor and Rose. Any incarnation is allowed unless otherwise indicated in the week's prompt. Fics must be at least 100 words and no more than 1000. The subject matter and rating is at the discretion of the author, though warnings for graphic sexual or violent material must be given. Due to the nature of the challenge, betas cannot be used, but please use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling as best you can. |
| Voting | Anyone may vote, including people who are not participants. Rules for voting will be made clear in each week's voting post, so pay attention carefully to ensure that your vote counts. |
| Anonymity | Your fics must be kept anonymous until the voting for that week has officially ended. Once voting has ended, your fic may be posted anywhere you like. You may not tell anyone which fic is yours to avoid anyone rigging the votes. Votes will always be submitted through screened comments and remain anonymous to everyone except the mod. If anyone is caught breaking anonymity, that participant will be disqualified. |
| Skips | Every participant starts the challenge with one skip, which may be used to skip a challenge provided that the mod is informed before the challenge is due. If a skip is not utilized and a participant misses a challenge, that participant will be disqualified. Details on how to use your skip and how to gain one extra skip are at the Skip Post. |
| Schedule | Prompts will be posted on Tuesday, and fics will be due a week and a half later, Friday at 10:00pm CST (US Central). Voting will be posted shortly after, and it will close sometime after 10:00pm CST on Sunday, at which time result of the week's challenge will be posted. |
| Notes | This is a Doctor/Rose shipping community. The fics must be based around this. However, despite the fact that the community is based on Doctor/Rose, absolutely no character bashing is allowed, either in fics or votes. I cannot stop someone from voting for or against a fic, but a legitimate reason must be made. Please, just be friendly and courteous to one another, and most of all, have fun! |
