This community is for osteopathic doctors, osteopathic medical students, anyone who wants to learn about osteopathy, or anyone who loves osteopathy.
The Osteopathic Principles
1. The human person is a unit in which structure, function, mind, and spirit are mutually and reciprocally interdependent.
2. The body, through a complex system, tends to be self-regulatory and self-healing in the face of disease processes.
3. Adequate function of body systems depends upon the unimpeded circulatory mechanisms, nerve impulses, and neurotrophic influences. (In other words, structure and function are reciprocally interrelated.)
4. A rational treatment regimen is based on this philosophy and these principles.
If you are interested in finding out how to get into med school or how to increase your odds of getting accepted, do not post your questions in this community.
Other communities that will be more receptive to your inquiries include
