Here at do_me_oberyn, we agree that Prince Oberyn Nymeros Martell is the sexiest (& most awesome) character in George R. R. Martin's series A Song of Ice & Fire. Have you read every scene Oberyn appears in or is mentioned in at least 7,000 times? Do you fantasize about him rather than other fandom favorites, like Jaime or Rhaegar? Do you find yourself saying things such as "Give me a chance, I'd give him a son!" or "I don't care if he wants to bring Ellaria" ? Do you want to run your hands through that thick, silky, black hair & handle that mighty Dornish spear? And for the fanboys, do you obsess over Oberyn's fighting skillz? Do you always vote for him in those tournaments that turn up on Ran's board occasionally?

We agree with Arianne Martell when she said she fantasized about a certain uncle of hers taking her to the desert & having his way with her. We love Oberyn.

Community Rules: Read before joining & posting. I am not responsible if you fail to read them & get upset about something later.

1. You must be a fan of Oberyn, or at the very least of the Martells. Otherwise why would you be joining? No trolling. I will ban trolls.

2. Be polite. This is self-explanatory. We may disagree sometimes, but we are still united in our love of Oberyn. Anyone who is rude, including flamers, will be thrown into a snakepit. I'm serious about this. Personal attacks on other members WILL NOT be tolerated. Any kind of hate speech, ie racism, sexism, etc, is also not allowed. They will result in a warning & if the offender persists, bannation. Flaming people's fics is also not allowed. I have banned badfic from this community, there is no reason to flame anyone. If you disagree with someone, disagree in a polite & civilized manner.

3. No OT posting, although posts regarding the Martells as a whole or other individual members of the house will be tolerated. I will allow general posts about ASoIaF, such as release dates & other big news. But if I see posts discussing characters other than the Martells, I will strike them down with all of my modly might.

4. If you are familiar with the Martells, I'm assuming you've read all the books. If you haven't, you might want to finish before joining this community.

5. There will most likely be adult content on here, but if you've managed to read at least the first 3 books of ASoIaF I'm assuming you can handle it.

6. I've decided to allow fanfics, but all entries with fics must be locked. Fics starring ANY Martell, not just Oberyn, are acceptable. Characters should be kept in character & not act in ways that contradict their established personalities in canon. Note: mpreg fics & Mary Sue fics are NOT allowed. If you try to post one, it will be deleted, although I believe most of the fandom is above that swill. Slash & smut IS allowed, so go ahead & post it to your heart's content. No trolling for reviews. Suethors troll for reviews. We are not Suethors. I would like to keep this comm free of badfic.

7. Long entries, posts of more than 2 icons, fanfic, & fanart should be placed under an lj cut. If you wish to post fanart by someone other than yourself, post a link to the artist's website. DO NOT put the picture in your entry. Fics should be posted using the following format:

8. No fics featuring incest or rape are allowed. I'll make one exception to the rape rule for fics set during Elia's last moments. I don't know who'd want to write her rape scene, but it's canon so I'll allow it. Any other rape fics & ALL incest fics will be deleted.
