Welcome to dna_awards, a weekly icon contest featuring the manga/anime D.N.Angel by Yukiru Sugisaki. An icon contest is where members get to make icons depending of the theme/image/lyrics provided. Then a mod will post up the voting and members can choose their favourites. They are not required to submit in order to vote. The results will be decided on how many points each icon received. Winners will receive a banner.
Everyweek, there are three challenges for you to make icons for.
Theme: A word will be provided, and you need to make an icon out of it.
Image: An image [screencap, scan, etc] will be provided for you. Color, brush, crop, and animate the icon however you want, but the only image used should be the one provided.
Lyrical: If you are using the lyrical theme, please use at least three consecutive words and make sure the lyrics are the only text on the icon.
RULES
1. Please join to vote/submit.
2. Only take the icons after the contest and credit if you do.
Submissions
1. Must be D.N.Angel related.
2. You may only submit up to two icons each week. Mixing themes (e.g image + word, image + lyrical, etc.) are allowed.
2. Livejournal standards - 100x100/40kb or less, .JPG, .PNG or .GIF format.
3. Submission must be new and made by you.
4. Dont advertise your icons anywhere before the results comes out.
5. Use a host that allows remote linking. Such as tinypic.
6. No fanart and Doujinshi images.
Voting
Use the poll to vote for your THREE favourite icon. You may vote for yourself but only if you think you really deserves it. Then choose an icon for the Special Category. The Special Category will be different each week.
