Hopefully this community isn't dead!
Anyways, so I'm planning for my first cosplay as Misa Amane. I know, I know. I'm not going for the Hot Topic Misa though, I'm going to combine three artbook covers of Misa. To be specific, I'm going to have the arm blades from this picture (as soon as I find out how to make them and what material to use that's not dangerous...any ideas?), the boots from this cover, and the outfit (well, what I can make of it) from this cover. A skirt will match the top in the aforementioned.
So, I've been reading around forums since this will be my first cosplay and I still want it to be jaw-dropping. 95% of the cosplayers I come across wear nice, tangle free, wigs. These cosplayers also seem to agree that using real hair usually looks sloppy or it becomes sloppy from the humidity. Now, I already have dyed blonde asian hair. I'll feel like a major boob if I put blonde hair over...well, blonde hair. But I don't want a cosplay completely ruined if my hair turns into a frizzy mess. Especially since I had originally planned to get extensions via hair weave by the time of the convention. ...Bad idea? Misa is supposed to have flawless idol-esque hair all the time! Once again, searching for Matt cosplay shirt.
You know the one, the long sleeve black and white tee? lol
I'm searching everywhere, but unfortunatly i'm leeching off of the schools computer and various internet cafes, so if you could help me in searching the internet for a shirt, that would be awesome.
i have till october, (early i know. but i'm a lazy ass that procrasinates and soon enough, tomorrow is october) for Realmscon in Texas. (anyone going?)
SO, i'm asking for links to stores, name brands, or even if you're selling one yourself.

Unfortunately not a very good one of the outfit, but that will change. This is one of those you never see people do. I decided on trying my hand at one of Misa's "Cosme Misa" commerical outfits, and this would be the halter with batwings (which are not visible -_-) I have pictures to come soon where the entire outfit can be seen more clearly.

A new one of My Pinstripe Misa cosplay which I didn't really have any good pictures of until now. Except I'm wearing her red and black striped shirt under it instead of the tank top.. It was a bit cold ^^; My Mello also gave my wig a bit of a trim beforehand, too. I think it looks way better now.

My cosplay group (TouchMyMafia) had planned a special secret BeyondxL photoshoot that tells the story one of the most amazing BxL fanfics I have ever read, "Bloody Kisses, Strawberry Smiles" by catqueen991(deviantart)/LightofaThousandSuns(fanfiction.net). I talk to Cat all the time on devi, and did this as a tribute to her awesome fic. For those of you who have read it, I'm sure you'll enjoy the pictures, and if you haven't, you still will :D But you SHOULD read the fic: Bloody Kisses, Strawberry Smiles
There's only 15 pictures right now. The other part with additional scenes from the story will be uploaded in the next few days. Plus, we have a second shoot scheduled next week to capture some more of my favorite moments from the fic.

Hello, I need your help!
I have looked EVERYWHERE, for some Matt goggles and a stripey shirt, but have not been able to find anything ; __ ;
I actually thought finding the shirt would be easy, and was all like, "If not, eBay will help me" but not even eBay could find me anything.
So, does anyone know of somewhere I could get these items, preferably not being too expensive.
Also, if anyone had these items and was willing to sell them? ^U^ I live in Australia, by the way.

gone through three different vest designs. This one being the most current.

Hello all.
Due to finances (love that economy!), I'm having to part with my Mello costume from 2006. This costume won Best of Show at Jacon (http://www.jacon.org), as well as a hall award.
You can find a picture here and here.
The price I'm asking for is $150. This is what is included:
+ Fully lined vest, made out of light weight black nylon. Padding inbetween the layers with accurate topstitching. Hand stitched arm holes and false double zipper.
+ Fully lined overcoat with fur lined hood. Two outside functioning pockets, and hidden inner pockets (for your chocolate!). Every seam is finished, pressed, and set. The jacket is made of nylon & broadcloth. The symbols are painted on.
+ Hand made rosary, with the accurate color combination. The beads used are high quality glass beads.
+ Butterscotch blonde page boy wig.
Pants, gloves, chocolate, and waist chain are not included (most if not all are damaged beyond repair, or eaten).
It is hard to part with this costume, and I would prefer it to go to a good home. If you have any questions, let me know.

I am selling one medium length blonde bob - used for Mello cosplay.
This wig was worn for two at-home photoshoots and for about three hours at Anime Weekend Atlanta. Due to some major sewing catastrophes, the costume's retired, so the wig has been carefully stored since then. The wig is synthetic.
