dmhgficexchange is a community created to run and host Draco/Hermione fic exchanges. We are a sister community of

ferveoproject, a Draco/Hermione Fanfic Recs Community, and affiliated with

dgficexchange,

hpgwficexchange and

rwhgficexchange.

Brushes used herein are from Falling Night. The current layout template is by

thevelvetsun. The manipulation used in community header is by

somesadaffair. The background pattern is by pale-septembre. All have been customized by

eucalyptus. Please do not take.

What is an Exchange?

An exchange is a project where, put most simply, participants swap stories or fanart. They sign up using a sign up template (a registration form), stating what kind of gift they would like to receive. We ask that the requests be general -- not specific. The requests are paired up, a deadline is set, and everyone creates a gift. The gifts are emailed in to the community at dmhgficexchange at yahoo dot ca, and gifts are posted by exchange staff.

To sign up for an exchange, you must be able to write a story or create an original piece of art (graphic artists must request permission from the mods, along with providing samples of their work). The person you create a gift for for will most likely create a gift for someone else, not you.

Artwork and fiction featuring or depicting characters under the age of 18 in explicit sexual situations is prohibited on LiveJournal and may not be submitted to

dmhgficexchange. Please note that underage sexuality of the non-explicit variety and for which there is genuine artistic merit (aka, no sex for the sake of sex) seems, as far as the mods can tell, to be acceptable to LiveJournal, but we advise you to embark upon creating such content with caution. If the characters are obviously over the age of 18, explicit sexual content is acceptable provided it is locked to adult members only (which the mods will ensure). WHEN IN DOUBT, consult the mods.

Stories and artwork archived at dmhgficexchange remain the property of the participants and are not to be posted, archived or redistributed elsewhere, except where the participants permits.

Please have respect for the pairing if you intend to comment -- respect for the pairing is respect for the community, its writers and members.

This community is reserved for the posting of stories and artwork that are part of exchanges. Please do not post to promote the latest chapter of one of your stories, recommend your favourite fic or request help finding something you read a really long time ago. There are better places for those things than here.

Submission Rules

(These rules apply to participating writers/artists during exchanges as applicable.)

All fics must be beta-read. Basic spelling and proper grammar make a fic much more enjoyable to read. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be readable.

All fics must be at least 1000 words in length and COMPLETE.

All fic and art must be posted here. You can archive them elsewhere if you wish, just make sure that it is posted here first. If the exchange is anonymous, the story cannot be archived elsewhere until we have officially revealed authors.

To write or request an NC-17 fic or art, you must be 18 years of age or older.

Work must be the original creation of the participating writer or artist. Borrowed words and images must be credited and kept to a minimum.

Work must be posted in accordance with our posting template (TBA).

Submissions: Completed gifts are posted by the mods using a mod puppet account. Writers and artists must email their gifts, FULLY CODED, to the mods when they are ready at dmhgficexchange at yahoo dot ca.
