Dragon Knights Fic Exchange!
Dragon Knights Fanfic Exchange.
1) Why a fan-fic exchange?
Because for a fandom that has a fairly decent sized fan base, there isn’t a huge amount of fan fiction. There’s enough creativity floating around to remedy this, all that is required is a little push in the right direction.
2) What exactly IS a fan fic exchange?
(Stolen frombeatlesficex) Just as it sounds: a group of writers and readers get together and exchange fanfics. Everyone signs up and requests a fic for themselves with specific elements -- a required phrase or object, a certain year or place, a particular starring character or pairing, or a required plot -- then fulfills someone else's request.
3) Do I need to be on Livejournal to participate?
Not at all! All completed stories are emailed to me and you can comment anonymously in this post if your not a member – just make sure to include your name and email!
4) What can I request?
Anything at all! This challenge is open to all varieties of fan fiction genres and pairings. Want a gen fic about Ruwalk’s first meeting with Alfeegi? Request it! Want a kinky story where Cesia gets more in touch with her darker side? Request it! Have a sudden craving for Shydeman/Kai-stern? Who doesn’t it! Request it!
5) What is the minimum word count?
1000 words. If this is a little steep for you, it's ok to try and write two different fics that total 1000 words for the request.
6) So how do I join up?
Simple. All you need to do is copy and post the following form into a comment with all your bits of information filled in:

What you are willing to write:
What you are not willing to write:
Canon familiar with:
Simple, right? Here’s an example.

What you would like: I’d like a hurt/comfort scene between Tetheus and Kai-stern. Maybe something that explores the whole demon/human light/dark thing they have going. Yaoi or gen.
What you don’t want: Original characters.
What you are willing to write: Write only. I’m willing to tackle pretty much any characters/pairings that appear prior to volume 12.
What you are not willing to write: Rath/Tetheus, Kitchel/Tetheus.
Canon familiar with: All the Gaidens, strong manga knowledge up to volume 12, weak after that.
Now, it’s fairly rare for new fanfic to pop up in the fandom in general, so here is your chance to not only contribute and make someone else’s DK dream a reality, but also to get that fic you’ve desperately wanted to read for years written by someone else. Please feel free to make requests as specific or as loose as you want.
All comments will be screened, so only I will know who has requested what. Once sign ups close, I will pair up writers and send out the individual fanfic assignments to each participant via email.
Submitting completed assignments.
All stories need to be sent to cairnsynz@yahoo.com before the 14th of May. They should be sent as either a txt or a word document, and with all tags (< b >, < i >, < center> etc) in place. If, for some reason, you need an extension or have to drop out of the challenge, please let me know as soon as possible.
