This is a community for all DIY'ers. Whether you knit, sew, paint, alter, cook, code, mixed media or change the world one day at a time, we welcome you!
Basics:
1. All posts MUST contain something relevant to DIY'ing.
2. Any off topic posts will be deleted without warning.
3. Trolling will end up in an immediate ban.
4. ANYONE FOUND POSTING SOMEONE ELSES WORK WILL BE BANNED AND REPORTED
5. If you have drawn inspiration for your work from someone else [ie: craftster, another lj'er or community], you MUST give recognition! Failure to do so may result in your being banned and removed from the community.
6. If you are having trouble with a member or a moderator please feel free to email us at any time. We strongly encourage this!
7. You may not at any time post anything which is considered racist, sexist, homophobic, or just plain degenerate.
8. You may NOT simply make a post about items you've made or are selling and leave it at that. This is a place for LEARNING and of INSPIRATION. If you would like to sell your items THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO DO IT. Feel free to ask if an item is for sale, but do NOT CONDUCT YOUR BUSINESS HERE. Please email or msg the poster outside of this community.
As well, please do not post items you've made and ask for a swap. Please do so in your own journal or email.
FAQ:
Q. Can I post an ad for another community?
A. YES, but you must state that it is an ad in the SUBJECT line and place it under a lj cut
Q. I have photos, can I post them??
A. OF COURSE, in fact we encourage as many photos as possible! However, if you have more than one or your photos are large, place them under a lj cut. If you do not do so, your post may be deleted.
Q. Can I post adult arts and crafts?
A. Yes, but anything that someone may find offensive must be placed under a lj cut, and you must place a warning in the subject line or lj cut text.
Q. What is acceptable as DIY or Do It Yourself????
A. Anything and everything: wedding related diy, baby and holiday diy, food, clothing, paintings, embroidery, real world diy, absolutely EVERYTHING.
