Friendly Reminder DITL days are always scheduled for a specific date each week. As community rule #6 states, "Please try and take your photos ON the Day in the Life day. At least, if you don't, please try and lie about it. There's no way we're going to find out, and if you start saying how you really took the photos on Saturday, and you're SO sorry, then why do we even have a day?" There have been lots of misdated entries lately, and we'd really like to curtail that. Thanks for your cooperation!

Abstract: I present a 25 year old Medical Anthropologist hailing from New York but currently residing in West London while she works for refugees and asylum seekers. Ancillary attributes include: writing research proposals, reading, going to the gym and shopping. During the interim of this ethnography emeraldetoile travelled from London to Belgium to Holland to France, the ethnography that follows is a true account of her day! ( Read more... )

I decided to do this DITL a little differently. I've been fooling around wtih the continuous function on my camera and, after stringing nearly 2,400 photos together in iMovie, have created a stop motion movie of my entire day :) This submission is mod-approved; thanks babyslime, et al. for letting me share this! :D

Rules:
1. Return to this entry over the course of the submission period to vote for as many entries that you felt were particularly good/moving/touching/funny/unique/interesting, but please no "Ballot box stuffing". Any double votes will be discounted. 2. Votes are hidden, so you can feel free to NOT vote for your best friend. They'll never know. 3. Votes for yourself will not be counted: don't throw your vote away! 4. Non-members can vote. 5. Each submission will have a comment left by a mod that links back to this voting entry so you can vote instantly. The submission period will still end after a few days to make sure even the late entries have adequate time to be viewed and considered. Results will be posted on July 3rd. 6. The winner of last week's DITL ( bernthewitch) cannot be voted for, however they can still submit this week and you can feel free to leave them comments. 7. Moderators cannot receive votes. Mods are babyslime, jesamin, sequiro, muliebrity, imbroglio, sweetpea_girl, and thejoysofjess.
When you vote, the text box you used will no longer be available: to make sure you get adequate space to vote for your favourites, I've offered five polls. Overflow can go into screened comments. ( Vote! )
