furry boy, my furry boy
When last we left our hero, she was bemoaning the fact that her car died, kaput, and was only able to sell it for scrap for $150 after the mechanic hauled it out of the middle of the road.

Now I'm going back and forth a lot on the Sunset bus, which means I can get to Amoeba and my Starbucks, and so far that's kept me from going mad, though eventually I have to get to other places, like work and peoples' houses and the grocery store, and do other things, like shop and do laundry and then carry it home, so I think we're definitely in the band-aid phase of the healing process.

Also, Hawkeye, my boy cat, my furry boy, who's been with me for ten years and through as many apartments, who's driven across the country with me twice, is MISSING.

I mean, sometimes he wanders off or spends the night with friends, and has been known to be away for a couple or three days at a time, but it has now officially been OVER a WEEK and I am SCARED! I made signs to put up all over town, but I'm especially worried because he had fleas and so was engaged in some nervous licking, and was all patchy and raw, and I had to spray him with the anti-itch spray, which he hated, and it was a sad night a week or so ago when I went to spray him and he freaked out and ran off... and has not been home since.

That was a long sentence, but my furry boy is worth it. If you live in LA, he's black and puffy and scared and wonderful and patchy from licking, please help me find him!

second verse, same as the first.
Here we go again. It's Sunday night here, and I decided to start my countdown to 11:00am Tuesday my time by watching this new promo for #403 a few dozen times. *g*

ETA: Oh, and then there's Fox's 'On Monday Night!' promo, which is quite nice. YAH for the Sarah Connor Chronicles! *bounces*

*iz a nerd*
You know you've moved beyond nerdiness when you promise yourself that you can do your homework for your other two Political Science classes if you finish what you have to do for German and your first Political Science class.

I can't help it! International Relations and Political Theory sound infinitely more interesting than busy work for Poltical Attitudes and German.

Watched Lost in Austen and it was strange. At first, I didn't like it. But now, I'm just kinda interested to see how it goes.

Will be watching last night's Psych pretty quick. Then I gotta do some more homework (more Jane Eyre, Tom Jones, chapter 2 in textbook for cultural anthropology, and some articles by Martin Luther King).

I'm so thirsty all the time. :/

I can't 100% confirm this as I've not seen any adverts (yet) and I've not had a chance to go in and ask myself, but apparently the info came from a few Morrisons employees and others have popped in and confirmed.

Morrisons will be having a sale on their Video Games chart all next week.

DS games for £12 each.
Wii games for £15 each.
Xbox360 and PS3 games for £25 each.

One copy of each game per person.

Now they usually only have like 8-10 games in each console's chart, so it's not huge .. but it might be worth having a look :o)

Invisible - Michael/Sara (1/1)
Title: Invisible (1/1)
Fandom: Prison Break
Characters: Michael Scofield, Sara Tancredi, Lincoln Burrows
Pairing: Michael/Sara
Rating: PG-15
Length: 3,493 words
Summary: Sometimes blending into the crowd requires drastic measures.
Author's Note: Another post-Scylla fic that my little OCD soul demanded I write. I think we all know that certain tattoo-related things are not physically possible, but it's canon now and therefore fair game for ficcing and because I can never resist the urge to try and explain the unexplainable. *g*

Tactical Response Units Are The New CSI
Seriously, it seems like police dramas are starting to move toward the direction of tactical response. Me, of course, I'm loving it.

I'm not sure when it started since I can't really think of an American show that...hell, I can't think of an American tactical drama. I considered The Unit, but that's a military unit.

The Canadians are bringing us Flashpoint. Thank you, Canada. I just watched the pilot for the new Australian drama, Rush which I think may actually be even better. Where Flashpoint looks like it's only going to deal with the characters in a periphery function kind of like the original CSI did (which I don't mind, so long as they include some stuff), Rush seems to be closing in on the characters. It's about not only a day in the life like Flashpoint, but you also see the issues going on in the unit.

I also think that Rush will have my vote because they have an openly bi female as one of their characters. I checked the website and read the character bios and it was right there in print. Gods, I wish American television could get away with that.

So...while I said that tactical units are the new trend, I just realized that those are the only two I can think of. Does anyone have any other shows like this they can recommend? Have the Brits done one? Is American TV gonna get off it's butt or are we going to continue to beg from the Canadians? Please tell me there are more like this coming? Please?
