    Goodbye Aladdin, Hello Woody!

Great news, Toy Story fans (and really, who isn’t one?)! Toy Story — The Musical will take over Hyperion Theatre at Disney’s California Adventure park in early 2011.

The characters and playful plot from the Disney·Pixar film Toy Story will come to life before your eyes in this dazzling, musical stage spectacular where you’ll be treated to a unique “toys’ eye view” of life in Andy’s room. As reported on the Disney Parks Blog, the stage show will feature larger-than-life set design, new songs, vivid projected backgrounds and elaborate costumes.

The 50-minute musical preserves the humor and heart of the original film and explores the true meaning of friendship as Buzz Lightyear and Woody transform from jealous adversaries to best friends with an unbreakable bond.

To make way for this exciting addition to Disney’s California Adventure park, Aladdin — A Musical Spectacular will close August 15, 2010.

So, I used to live in SD and I had a SoCal pass for Disneyland. Now I moved back up north, but I really want to get the 200$ pass. I have a lot of friends that live down there still... do you think I could still get a pass? Like say Im a student and show them my old ID or something? How strict is it? Thanks!

    Holiday Parade Filming This Weekend
A little birdy told me the Holiday Spectacular dancers will be filmed on Saturday, Nov 7. ABC-TV is sending a special camera crew to film on Saturday. Other portions of the Disneyland Christmas Parade will be filmed on Sunday, Nov. 8 and Monday, Nov. 9 so expect Main street to be crowded during the day. . .

4 different firework shows in 2010
MousePlanet reader cstephens posted to our MousePad discussion board that a Disneyland pyrotechnics cast member told her Disneyland will present four different shows in 2010: "Remember...Dreams Come True" from January through May, followed by "Magical" during the return of the Summer Nightastic promotion June through September. "Halloween Screams" will return for the HalloweenTime promotion, with "Believe...In Holiday Magic" closing out the holiday season.

    New Fireworks This Weekend!
Well not "new", but Disneyland’s fireworks spectacular Remember Dreams Come True will be returning to Disneyland for a brief three day performance from Friday, November 6th to Sunday, November 8th. Remember Dreams Come True has been scheduled here to fill the one weekend gap between Halloween Screams (which ends Sunday, November 1st) and Believe in Holiday Magic (which begins Friday, November 13th). Now even though the show will likely return after Believe in Holiday Magic’s annual run, you can bet the many fans of this show will descend upon the Resort that weekend, so be prepared for large crowds at showtime. . .

    Trick-or-Treat
I was always under the impression that the Halloween Trick-or-Treat event @ CA was jsut for little kids and their parents. Is this true? Me & my hubs were at Disneyland on Wednesday and as we were leaving we saw quite a few adults going in full costume, and it looked like fun!!

If adults are allowed to go we wanna go next year. Have any of you ever been? Is it worth it?

    Thankyou :D

    baby's first Disneyland day
what rides do you think I can bring a 5 month old on without worrying about him getting hurt? I or someone else would need to be holding him, since he can't sit up on his own yet.

    Disneyland Ride Favs.

what would you say is your favorite disnelyand ride? Or least  favorite? My favorite is definately Splash mountain... I'd always have to wait longer to sit in front but it was always worth it... but my least favorite would deinately be Indiana Jones just because of how bad the wait always was..

    Happiest Haunts Tour
I Googled a bit on this tour and it appears you get reserved seating for the fireworks, but the location of this seating seems inconsistent? Some people said they got seated by the partners statue and others said they were seated at the Plaza Pavilion. Does anyone know anything more about this? How is the view from the Plaza Pavilion anyway?
