They'll steal your icons and not give you credit. They'll also apparently steal icons that are photos of other LJ users. If you try to ask them to follow the rules, they'll ignore you and ban you from commenting in their journals. ("They" might even just be one person. They all have the same brand of stupid.)

Just what LJ needs, a roving band of icon thieves who can't be bothered to follow the rules. Ugh. Children.

So if you find yourselves friended by them, ignore them. But do check out their icons and see if they've stolen anything from you.

Okay I bought my first chapter books last year in America.
Ive no just received all the other chapterbooks.
They are english versions and have no freaking illustrations in them. Im so pissed.

Why change them so much. Why get rid of one of the most essential facters of the series - in my oppinion.

hi im Anji (Ravenge) i have never posted here but i always read what posted... let me get to why im posting. well today we adventure to Home Depot. for new lock for the doors well i like to look around even though that really not my fav. place to shop. though i did come across a Disney Fairies key for my door lock so we bought the lock and my key then got it sized so it could work on the door lock. i did scan the key it hook it what haging on. it a picture of tink. and dose anyone have pic of the faires full body i wanted to draw them.?

So I got the first issue of the DF comic yesterday. It's so adorable! It came with a cardboard magazine holder to put your comics in and there's a Home Tree poster in the middle of the issue. There was the usual kids' magazine fare: cute ads, quizzes, crafts, etc. There were also lengthier profiles for Prilla and Tink. The best part was definitely the comic! The art is really cute. (Except for Rani, whose eyes are kinda freakishly small. I know she's got small eyes, but this is too small.) Issue #2 has Vidia on the cover and the comic is titled "Like the Wind," so it may star her! The profiles in that issue will be Rani, Vidia and Fira.

I had to ask my mother to get it down for me to see if it really was Bess since I've never seen Bess in orange before.

-Quill, despite her writing implement name, is an art talent fairy who appears to favor sculpting. She's very neat, as opposed to Bess's messiness. Bess acts oddly around her, almost like she's constantly trying to impress her. I thought she acted kinda like a kid with a crush until it's revealed at the end that Quill has been around much longer than Bess, so I think it's more Bess trying to impress her elder.
-Some fairies call Fawn "Chipmunk" because she has big teeth.

The art is in black and white, so I won't be posting scans unless there are some I really really want to share. (Because I'm not sure how well the scans will turn out.) I flipped through the book quickly and there are at least a couple new fairies! One (I think her name was Quill) is pictured at least once. I'll have more details when I'm done reading.

Disney Fairies icon challenge!

I thought I'd post about the contest now to give people ample time to enter it.

BASICS:
-There will be THREE types of contest. You may enter as many types as you like and you may submit as many entries as you like. There are NO LIMITS!

-Well, no limits except one: the deadline for submitting entries is Friday, January 12th. All entries must be received by midnight Eastern Standard Time. (So technically, that's Saturday morning.) That should give everyone plenty of time to recover from all the holidays!

-All entries must be emailed to eilonwe@gmail.com. (Do not post them here!) I have difficulties with zip files, so try not to use those. You can submit any time you want to from now until the deadline. Once I receive your entry, I will reply to your email. If you do not get a reply from me, please resend because that means I didn't get it. Give me like a day to reply though. I work almost all day four days a week, so I'm not always available.

-The contest is open to all disney_faeries members. I have no problem sending prizes around the world. The only requirement is that you be a community member.

-There will be THREE prizes. Each prize is specific to one type of contest, so if you want a certain doll but not the others, you only have to submit entries for one contest. Below are pictures of the prizes and links to their contest. Click the links to see what you have to do to win!

BESS: Hi! I'm the prize for the second graphic option. Mine is a little more creatively open than Vidia's. Your artistic task is to create a banner promoting either this community or something related to Disney Fairies. You can make one for your favorite character or talent group or whatever you like! There are no LJ restrictions on banners, but use your best judgment when it comes to size. There are many scans of beautiful pictures available in past entries, so search through them if you need pictures to work from. The winning banner will be displayed on the profile for this community! And the banner maker will take home a boxed Bess doll.

LILY: Hey, everyone! Bet you thought there were only going to be two prizes. Well, until yesterday, that was the case! Then Lori saw me and knew that she had to offer me as a prize, even though I was losing the poll. So she combined me and the less popular writing option, since there was sufficient interest in writing. What you need to do for my contest is simple and fun. Just write a diary entry from the point of view of any fairy or sparrow man! You can choose an existing character or make up one of your own. Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this community- I've been over at pixiehollow for a while now, and found this comm in their user info.

Looking back through some of the threads here, I found that someone posted pictures from one of the books. I'm just starting a disney100 challenge on the Disney Fairies series, and while I have a lot of pictures already I would love to have some more to work with if you guys have any to share.

I have a ton of pics that I screencapped from the Disney Fairies website, and I've scanned in all the pics from the 6 Fairies books (Beck's, Lily's, Tink's, Vidia's, Rani's, and Fira's), but I only have a few illustrations from the original Fairy Dust and I don't have any from the newer ones (Secret Fairy Homes, Prilla's Prize, A Poem for Tink, or any of the others). If you guys have any pics from those books that you'd be willing to upload for me, or put them in a .zip file and email them to me, I would really appreciate it! Thanks so much!

Also, small question: Do you guys want me to post here when I update my icon challenge? Or just give you a link when it's completely done? Let me know! ^_^
