Before you get all confused on what this is,

disney100 is an icon challenge. Yeah, you've seen communities like this popping up all over the place recently. Inpired by communities like

icons100 and

iconfiend100, this community is obviously Disney themed.

disney100 allows any Disney movie (both animated and live action), cartoon series, character, theme park attraction, actor/actress, etc. to be claimed by an individual; and that individual shall be challenged to make 100 icons of their claim using 50 themes and 50 artist's choice. Each claim can only be claimed by one person. So how exactly do things work here?

« Join the community using the journal that you will be claiming and posting icons with. Note: Iconists of all different skills and experience are invited to join and participate. You don't have to be an expert or considered "elite" to join. This isn't about labels, its about having fun and being creative! So whether you're a novice or experienced iconist, please feel free to join and have fun!

« Once you've joined the community, go ahead and check over the claimed list (DO NOT POST YOUR CLAIM REQUEST HERE) and comment here if you want to claim a topic/subject that is not already claimed and being completed by another member. If you request a claim and haven't joined the community yet, your request will not be approved. If you need a table to post your icons into, there is code here use at your convenience :)

« Once accepted and given posting access, you will have three months to complete your claim. If you intend to post all 100 icons at one time, please indicate that in your claim request.

« You're allowed to give up your claim at anytime during your three month challenge period, just be sure to contact the mod at my email: fatface@lycos.com, and let me know which claim you have, and why you're dropping the challenge. No hard feelings of course. Life comes first, of course.

« If you've completed your claim within your three month time period, be sure to let

pokecharm know here. You will be awarded a personalized banner, and your name (as well as a link to all of your icons) will be posted.

001. Join the community before doing anything else!

002. Once you are a member, you are free to request a claim at the claims request post. Please follow all instructions that are given, otherwise your request will not be granted.

003. A mod will come across your request and either approve or deny it. If you are approved, wait patiently until you have been given posting access. The day that the mod gives you posting access is the day your claim begins (this date will be indicated in the claims table). Please wait patiently for this step, as sometimes it may take a few days to a week to be approved or denied. We mods have lives outside the internet, believe it or not.

004. Once your claim officially begins, you have three months to post your set of 100 icons. You can post your icons in batches or all at once. Please have at least five icons in each batch and display at least one teaser icon for each batch. Also indicate which themes you are fulfilling, if any, in each batch posting.

005. Once you have made your claim, you will have three months to complete it. If you need additional time or an extension please indicate that here. Each participant will be given a custom banner once their claim has been completed. If a request has been outstanding for over 6 months, the claim will be relinquished and no banner will be rewarded.

006. Please listen to the mods. If we comment on an icon entry telling you that there is something wrong with your post or your icons, please be a good participant and listen to what we have to say. If you do not agree with us, then talk things out with us. Provide valid points and examples, do not whine and yell. This is not accepted. The first occasion this happens, you will be banned from the community. This is your first and only warning, so please remember it.

007. If you need to drop a claim, contact the mod at fatface@lycos.com. Please state the journal you are posting icons under (the one that has posting access), which claim you have, your start date, and a brief explanation of why you are unable to finish your claim. If you find yourself feeling crunched for time, please request an extension.

008. Members may only request one claim at a time. I realise that there are currently multiple claims from users now, but as of March 22, 2006, I will no longer be approving multiple claims.

009. Fifty icons must follow the fifty themes I've created for the challenge, and the other fifty can be labeled as ac for artist's choice. For the themes, your icons do not have to contain the word of the theme, the themes are just there to help guide your imagination; to see what you can create!
