So, it's been a busy month since I started my new job as a nanny. I'm having a lot of fun, though at the end of the day, I'm exhausted XD
I've had some time to myself on weekends, which is nice. I went to Sac-Anime last weekend with some friends, and had a lot of fun. I'm also getting psyched about Yaoicon in about 20 days. This may be my last one for awhile, which is sad, since I enjoy going there and seeing friends that I only get to see once a year.
I'm going to sit and watch Bleach The ALL before bed. It's been calling me all week ^o^ God, I'm SO looking forward to seeing sexy Aizen again! (loves Kengo to bits.)
Oh, before I go, here's a picture of me and Aidan taking a nap. Kris took it the other day, and took another one with me and Zoe the following day. Babies can make you sleepy ^o^ They're growing so fast, especially Aidan! I'm happy he's putting on weight, since he was the smaller of the two. I'll put up the one of me and Zoe when Kris sends it to me!

Okay I hate to make another political post, because lord knows theres enough of them around these days, and even I get tired of thinking about it 24/7, but I was listening to NPR this morning (OM NOM NOM NPR!) and heard this fascinating analysis of McCain's speech last night... I can't post segment by segment, but the whole hour is interesting..in particular the parts involving fact-checking his speech and the behavior analysis (I thought the Palin comments were particularly spot on):

UPDATE!!! Haha i'm just typing for fun :P... even though i'm supposed to be studying.
Anyway i was reading my old entries (which dates back almost 2 years ago...and which i'm not supposed to be doing now...) and well, i don't really have any sentiments! Just that i think i was really really bishie crazy last time. And anyway, it's not as if i had a whole load of entries to read. Plus I didn't type teh waezz tat is enuff 2 make mi cringe. So yep!
So, 2 years have passed! Friends have come and gone, new ones alike have come and gone! But who's to say that those who are gone won't come back? :D Stop. Hold that thought. I shouldn't get all sentimental and contemplative here. I NEED TO GO BACK TO STUDY! (sadly)
So what's new? That's the scary part. I have to admit, i enjoy looking at people taking in their laundry when it's raining. It's particularly amusing! You'll start realising it when you have to bring in the laudry. So i guess, when a person becomes a housewife, that's when your humor takes a detour. With no offense to all the housewifes (and husbands) out there of course.
Time is not a miracle worker. Time only tells; it does not heal.

HOLY CRAP SO EXCITED! I'm not a huge H/G fan (esp not movie!H/G), but this photo made me go AWWWWWWW!!
Also, Lav-lav looks decent...not a fan of the curly hair though, OBVIOUSLY..but she'll do...Plus OH MY GOD LOCKET YES!!!!
Ron looks ODD as a Quidditch player, but his shirt in this photo is AWESOMESAUCE (also OMG where'd he get those arms?!)
Also WTF?! TONKS HAS SHE-MULLET I hope and pray that is just an unfortunate photo of her sad!tonks hair, because DEAR LORD MULLET. Her outfit is HOT AS HELL though...sometimes I think these movie people can see into my brain...XD
Oh I'm so excited now!!! Before I didn't mind that they pushed the date back (cause I'm hoping that means they'll take their time and make it extra good) but now I'm all antsy!!!

OMG guys! I was searching Fanfiction.net today looking for Three Delivery fanfic (because there is nothing we love more then reading fanfic about our own show LOL!) and what should I find but TONS of fanfic for Word Girl, Time Warp Trio, Home Movies, Kappa Mikey and O'Grady!! LOLOLOLOLOL! That's a good chunk of every show I've ever worked on! HOW AMUSING!
I also feel validated that there is Sid/Tobey Three Delivery fic and WordGirl/Tobey (different Tobeys) fic...guys I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! XD
Oh how I love teh internets!!! XDDDD

I spent the long weekend up at my Aunt's lake house in PA. Let me tell you...IT WAS AMAZING.
Good weather, flea markets, yummy food, 12 little dogs (10 if which are CHIHUAHUAS) and a hot tub makes Lauren HAPPY HAPPY. I was SO SAD to come home yesterday :(
Hopefully I can keep some of that relaxation with me through the rest of the week.. ;) Someday I want a lake house with a hot tub and 12 chihuahuas all my own! XD

Well I am now fully charged and ready to go. I have been asleep  since 3pm this afternoon. I took Samy for mom & me day out at the movies and when we got out it poured down rain. Grocery shopping ensued from there and once again we got caught in the rain. once we got home I took a shower and as soon as I stoped to rest ended up knocked out for hours.
Now I am up and replying to e-mails and messages and feeling good! Even better is the fact that my current fav manga Skip Beat will be airing in anime format in the first week of October!  My 15 yr anniversery is Oct. 2 and this airs, I believe, on the 5th for the first episode! YAHOO!!!!!!!!! Is there anyone else as excited over this as I am...?? I just can't wait!

my official long-term goal is nutrition science (gotta get that "science" part in there, so as to avoid confusion. i do NOT want to become a dietician.) i'll probably work in a university setting as a professor, and i hope to do plenty of research/journal writing as well. this is truly what i want to do: i've always wanted to write, i would love teaching an audience that actually cares to listen, and i have a strong desire to teach the principles of health and, most importantly, prevention. i pushed away from this field for a while because i thought, "who would listen to someone who already has health problems?" i'm not letting my poor health in the past hold me back; instead, it can serve as more motivation...i can actually tell my audience what happens if you DON'T preserve your health.
anyway, it is amazing that in reaching this decision, i still find myself running into a great deal of resistance. i tell certain family members (ahem) my plans and the classes i'm taking and this is what i get: "you know, if you're going to take all those science classes, you might as well go to medical school."
how is that a "might as well"!??
why doesn't family get it.
medical school is not a might as well. this is not, "oh, you might as well get the red shirt AND the blue shirt because they're both four dollars." or "you might as well cut your hair an inch shorter in the summer since it grows faster."
see, those are "might as well"s.
medical school vs. nutrition science? no it's not like that's 5 years of COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CLASSES. it's not like becoming a professor of nutrition science and a medical doctor are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LIVES.
i think it would be different if i had some intense desire to perform surgery or something. but i've said a million times throughout my life, "i want to write" and "i like doing research" and while i know those opportunities exist for an md, it seems like the ideal route to get there is NOT the md program.
that, and i'm not playing this game for money. i can't help but think that these certain family members are still trying to push me for that specific purpose..

It's soooo sad! My little babies --> See below...
are all grown up at 10yrs now. They will be 11 in January and this October I will have to take new pics of us all in costume including baby Kyle. I wish I could find a baby knight costume for him. He would fit right in!!! Oh crap! I just realized.... I wonder if my costume is still going to fit me..?? Damn.....
