We're currently tweaking our method for activity checks a bit thanks to some suggestions and questions we got! That said, if you know of a journal that you feel should be on the list, please let us know.

If you see your character journal on this list, please comment when you make a post for them or, alternately, if you're on hiatus, please notify us of that as well. Please be aware when going on hiatus that we only check the Hiatus Post and not the OOC community. Also, if your character's journal name appears as an [unknown LJ tag] in a hiatus post, they might still end up on the activity check list! If you're DROPPING a character from this list, please comment to THIS POST instead of the main one, it makes it easier for us to gather the remove list at the end of the check. If you're not on this list, then you're exempt from the check. As always, if you're on hiatus, your characters shouldn't be on the list. But check anyway, just in case we missed some.

If you're having trouble with something to update, keep in mind that the communicators do have the option of shocking people if they haven't been updated in over 2 weeks. There is also an event currently running, as well as several player-run plots that will be starting soon.

A few things!

1) Latimir's 5th floor is coming down as it's described in the previous event post. This will be occurring on the 9th, at 10:00 am EST.

2) When you're choosing rooms for your characters, please use the NEW residence list and NOT the one listed in playmyace! We'll be deleting that one soon. Additionally, feel free to comment on the new one with any changes you need to make to your characters' living arrangements.

3) If you have an event you'd like to do involving a character's chip removal, that needs approval in addition to your chip removal request. If in doubt, write up your event request in the Plot Suggestion thread and let us know it's associated with a chip removal.

4) The activity check will be beginning, as usual, on the 10th, and will run through the 17th. The monthly "How's My RPing?" post will be done on the 19th, its usual date as well.

“I think I understand, Lolita.” Lolita looked up from where she was brushing Green’s long, black hair. Green had spoken very little since her little brother showed up one day, only to fall ill not long after and die. Now that Green was back on her medication, for the most part she’s been silent, keeping to herself. Regardless, Lolita made it a habit to bring her food and brush her hair daily.

Well, Discedo. You've gone on unmolested long enough. It's time to shake things up (quite literally). Your agent of doom this time around will be....

A Volcano.

Yes, you heard me. A goddamned volcano. BECAUSE THAT IS HOW WE ROLL IN DISCEDO. Now, now, don’t get your panties in a twist. There won’t be a volcano in Discedo... more like on the otherside of the world—but it’s a big one. And you’ll be feeling the effects.

Starting on the 7th, you’re going to feel some minor quakes. Slight tremors in the ground, not enough to upset anyone. You’ll notice them getting a little stronger on the 8th—strong enough to send that glass mug you’ve been using for the past month shattering to the floor (haha, take that!). Now, the 9th is going to suck for you, to put it simply.

Massssiive quakes, rupturing the ground in some places, collapsing the 5th floor of Latimir (feel free to get CRUSHED). You’ll find that the rubble in the Museum has shifted, and you’ll now be able to venture inside. For more information on this, look to the bottom of this post.

Now, while you spend the night shaking in the rubble of your once-homes, waiting for the sun to rise to give light to this nightmarish hell, you’ll realize: there is no light. Just continuing darkness. Three days, you’ll have darkness. From the 10th to the 13th.

On the 14th, you’ll find the sky lightening up, somewhat. Everything will be back to normal on the 15th. However, for the rest of the summer, Discedo’s going to get some pretty screwed up weather. At the beginning of each week, an announcement will be made, describing the weather and conditions the city will face. This will last until the end of August.

Also, until the end of August, there will be an increase in illnesses (feel free to have your character catch colds/flus/whatever). Also, there will be an increased infection rate for those getting their chips removed. Characters who submit removal requests will be told (at random) whether or not they receive an infection from the procedure and whether or not they may die from it. FROM NOW UNTIL AUGUST, THERE IS A PROBABILITY THAT YOUR CHARACTER WILL DIE FROM HIS OR HER CHIP REMOVAL. Please keep that in mind.

Based on recent incidences, we’ve got two new rules concerning canon updates and leaving the city.

1. Canon updates. For a while now, it’s been generally accepted for a character to leave the city for a week when receiving a canon update. To standardize the updating process, we will be making this a rule. When your character leaves for a canon update, then they cannot be missing from the city for more than two weeks (if there is a hiatus accompanying this, then it will be addressed on an individual basis).

2. Leaving the city. Your characters cannot leave the city except with special permission from the mods. At this point in time, the only reason a character may leave the city is during special mod events and canon updates. If you hiatus, your character is still in the city. If you’re inactive, your character is still in the city until they are AC’d.

If you’re confused about something, feel free to contact one of the mods. We’ll be sure to clear things up for you.
