10:06 am [no_justice]	Cast and Contact List OK, as you probably haven't noticed, I've gone over the community membership and pruned everyone not currently on the main bar cast list, not including apps from this round. Does anyone know how many (approximately) years there are from Moving Pictures to current? (Thud, I'm assuming is where the majority of the people are set, correct me if I'm wrong.) It's going to be a bit before Silverfish gets there, mainly because I'm goin to move him through canon/plot, but I'm trying to at least get some backstory set up for when he appears. It'd be a while before this happens, and whether it does depends on people, so... what better thing than to drum up interest now? quinby has a Moving Pictures sort of plot poking around her head, complete with Things from the Dungeon Dimensions. ( I broke into moving pictures, but it's nothing a hammer and a few nails won't put right. ) This will not be happening for a bit yet anyway, between the app freeze (we need someone to bring it in) and Quin's current schedule. But it won't happen at all (which would suck!) if several people aren't interested. It'd be fun! Think on it. 8:52 pm [minkhollow]	A plot thought, and a question. (Make that two.) Okay, so. I'm rereading Soul Music, and starting to think it's about time I sent withrocksin back home to tie up some loose ends. Exactly what loose ends, I'm not entirely sure yet, but one of them's definitely whether there's still a big bag of money hanging around somewhere. XD Imp's going to want some company, partly in case the music tries anything smart and partly in case that money is there (it'll be heavy, after all). I'm thinking about five people, preferably one of whom knows Ankh-Morpork and its immediate surroundings fairly well. This won't be happening for at least another week, but it's never too early to start planning, so. If you're interested in sending a character to poke around the Disc a bit, drop a comment with time zones and the like. (Also, this will mostly be a weekend thing, given my work hours.) First question: So when the app freeze lifts, could I maybe possibly talk someone into one of the other Band With Rocks In members? That'd... well, it would rock, for lack of a better phrase. Second question, mainly for other current Disc muns: So in with this whole OOM thought, I'm idly considering NPCing along an original character of mine from the discworld_rpg days. In that game, she had a restaurant; would anyone particularly object if that remained the case for this one? I can come up with something, if y'all would rather a different course. The year of the Stoat It occured to me that I didn't know what year came after the Year of the Prawn (which it is now for the up-to-date chars, I reckon), and I didn't know what to put when people asked my pups the year. I failed at finding canon source for this year, so I've decided it's the Year of the Stoat, for much continuity fun. Now, anyone know which century it is? (Comment on this)

Things Terry Pratchett probably wouldn't approve of or at least probably never had in mind. I got carried away, but I must also say that I love it :-) So, if anyone wants to blame me, go ahead. Moreover, I don't know my canon as well as I should, but I'm working on that. Another thing: I was quite busy plotting my own way (or rather being plot by... something!? Holy Wood, maybe!?), but does anyone want to play along? Kind of? For example, I'd like to go on a quest for Laddie (if his mun wants that, too, that is...) and maybe we could revive the Carcer Plot? So what I need to know what the status is of the Carcer plot? What's been going on in Ankh-Morpork and what does Angua know about it? I don't want to make her AU, as that spoils the fun for me. Anyway, just a summary of what's  happened so far is fine. Also, any chance Detritus could be around to meet her, perchance? It'll now be full blown plot instead of just random crack, I think. It will also change with development, because it's operatic and full of dramatic irony, for which I need to know what's said so I can ensure it becomes ironic. here is Walter's memories, to which I wish to add all threads that discuss the OG incident (from either canon), that include or discuss Christine!!!!!, Walter, Salzella or The Ghost, and that contain or refer to this plot. OK, here's what's happening: In this thread, Esk invited Barry to come back home with her for some (totally platonic) Running Really Fast With a Hawk Beside Him Fun. Now, we couldn't resist the temptation to make soem sort of actual Plot out of this, because oh, it'll be good to show Barry Ankh-Morpork, so we'd like to know who'll be interested in interacting with him. Don't forget Esk is from a fairly early point in Discworld canon: pre-Guards! Guards! but post Eric (shush, they're not chronological), so if you want your pups involved they should be either the young version of themselves (Detritus the Splatter springs to mind) or we can have an accident with L-Space, (Muahahaha!) depending on your preferences. If you want to play with Young!Havelock, give me a poke in the comments. However, if you wanted to play with Patrician!Vetinari, that can also be arranged... Since he won't recognise some characters, if he meets them now, or he might think they're someone else. (For example, he'll assume Vimes is John Keel.) 10:47 pm [minkhollow]	Hokay. So. relinking the back room post, for reference (Also because I'm too lazy to copy/paste the whole thing.) Anyway: I'm not sure how it'd start off, though there're a couple of possibilities - the good old Blame Anthy technique (though perhaps she deserves a break, after this latest?), or the apple thing I poked Beth about previously. Maybe it works a little too well, maybe Imp decides he likes the stuff, I dunno. Music with rocks in would clearly work differently in the bar than it did in the book. For one thing, Death doesn't work in the bar, so it won't be going round trying to kill people. For another, we've got loads of people who'd know the... source material, for lack of a better phrase. Perhaps they wouldn't get it? Again, I dunno. What I really don't know is how to stop it. This isn't really something that ever came up, with discworld_rpg stuff, so... yeah. At a loss, really, and would welcome suggestions. And hey, maybe blue text won't be quite so frightening as red or white, but it's sure as hell not black text. (WTF crazy patriotic coloring?) 10:38 pm [sgt_rock]	Hi there, everyone! Thought I'd step forward and volunteer for any plottage other folks might have come up with. I've got Detritus here available; he tends to wander in and out of the Bar without always noticing that he's done so. I've temporarily had him leave because I'm also playing bottle_covey- that's right, dear old Carcer, haha- and I didn't want to have the two come into conflict with each other. Carcer is currently a zombie and not in good shape at all. He's met Sam Vimes and sent him a nice pint of ginger beer, and he's left a few other words with Mr. Vimes before vanishing into the crowds. He's available for any evil or menacing needs you might have, since he hasn't improved his ways while in the grave. Let me know if you want to play with either of them. Thanks! (Comment on this)
