| Forum troubles? |
[15 Aug 2006|02:19am] |
Hello all, Darko here. Lately I've been having forum troubles. I can't log in using Mozilla, and when using IE I can log in, but I can't post. Is it just my computer, or is it something bigger? Anyone else experiencing technical difficulties?

Hey, I've noticed that there are currently 30+ members here, and that makes me quite the happy, happy lemur. However, its also seems that this community is also rather slow, at the moment. If anyone is interested in a bit more lively Dis interaction, then I would encourage people to check out the forums. Not to draw people away from this commmunity, just a friendly reminder (as the forum is consistantly active).
I've noticed that some topics that are posted here are as well posted in the forums. The difference being that lively discussion errupts on these subjects in the forum, while some really great posts don't get the follow up discussion they deserve here in the LJ community (for example, notquitezeus's commentary below).
We also have bagels and muffins in the forums!!**
**Dis Inc cannot guarantee bagels, muffins or any other breakfast baked goods will be served in the Disassemblance forums.

ironic (probably not, just serendipitous timing) that this was posted today, seeing as how i spent a couple hours at denver's pridefest sunday afternoon.
i'm not certain how i feel about it. partly, i feel like i've been called out on my own hipocrisy. partly, i think brian has really missed out on a key element of pride.
in a perfect world, things like pride would be a total anachronism, because we would all be valued for all our identities. unfortunately, in the real world, we each have identities which are liabilities. some of those identities (such as sexuality) can be hidden, while others (such as race) cannot. in the end, each of us is, to some degree, marginalized based either on the labels we've chosen for ourselves or labels that others have forced onto us.
pride, at least as far as i've experienced, is about taking those identies back and making them positive things. it's an opportunity to tell all the people who would persecute you for whatever identity that not only have you succeeded, you've succeeded in spite of all the obstacles that have been thrown in your path.
then again, i'll be the first person to admit that i'm rather sensitive on this subject. i hadn't realized just how much so until i explained how pride, for me, was like a giant family reunion in front of about 100 people, while trying not to tear up.
anyhoo, just my $0.02 worth -- it'd be good to see what other folks think.

Is the Disassemblance forum refusing everyone's connection or is it just hating me tonight?
We need to get word out about this community. It's not as strong as it could be. GET THE WORD OUT. TELL EVERYONE.

(Btw, t_s, if you still haven't seen any real pics of LG, let me know and I can direct you to a few floating around out here in cyberspace....)

I am so not in a good mood today, which sucks because it's my day off. I'm going to get a massage. I washed up with this really nice smelling body wash. And I slept a lot in the past 3 days to make up for my 4 hours of sleep I normally get everyday. But then one freaking paycheck gets shorted 17 hours and I'm pissed so now my day just sucks and nothing is going to make it better except getting my f--king money!!!!

Is Kava still around? ... Or 25bluerose25 might know ... ?
I was just wondering if anyone knew the answer to the question I'd asked a while back in the discussion under one of 25br25's entries below --- is all gelatin animal-based, or are there synthetic versions of it available? Is there a difference between gelatin and gelatine? curious...

| Real LIfe Comics.... DISASSEMBLED!!! |
[31 May 2004|01:04am] |

This was a guest strip I had done for Real Life Comics while its creator Greg Dean, took a couple weeks off. Unfortunately, my comic strip was never chosen to appear on the site. However, it was still fun to do some fan art for a webcomic I have personally enjoyed for so long.
