Author's Notes: I was actually planning to write something grand for Faana
deardbsk's birthday, however RL got in the way. So many things to take care of before school starts again. The idea for this fic actually came from
jaemint's DBSK Random Pairing/Prompt Generator. The pair was originally YunChun (or so I remember) and the prompt was Boys like girls. But it's Faana's birthday so I thought, let there be JaeSu! And there was. :D
Faana honey, hope you like this. I love you! ♥
Boys just want to have fun
Jaejoong doesn’t like girls. They’re short and long-haired and too skinny, and they don’t make good playmates. They’ve got cooties. He cringes and shivers run down his spine. Betcha didn’t know that! He shakes his head, acts all smart and smirks. Betcha you don’t!
Junsu likes girls, though. He knows quite a few who are cute and sporty (just like him), and he lists down their names on the little notebook Jaejoong gave him for his birthday. You missed Lily! Jaejoong’s bouncing on the balls of his feet because Junsu promised to introduce him to this Lily-person. She’s taller than me, Junsu says. Jaejoong chuckles. But you’re smaller than me.
Jaejoong hides behind a Fire tree when Junsu meets up with Lily to tell her that Jaejoong’s sick. He’s got cooties, Junsu whispers to Lily and wears a sad smile (for cinematic effect). Lily runs away.
Okay! You owe me ice cream! Junsu calls out to Jaejoong when he’s sure Lily’s out of sight. Jaejoong runs to Junsu and asks about Lily. Oh, you know. Told her we’d rather play soccer. Jaejoong nods, beams at Junsu brightly. Junsu squints a little, doesn’t tell Jaejoong that Lily’s not cute, anyway. It’s a guy thing, Jaejoong tells Junsu, chuckles at the end of his statement and thinks, We’re only eight. Jaejoong dashes some feet away from Junsu, sticks his tongue out at the latter. Too slow, girly boy! Junsu’s running and he forgets about soccer, the name of the cute girl next door scribbled on the palm of his left hand and drops the soccer ball, altogether. I’ll get you!
And he does.
