This is the application for normal characters:
This is the application for a Digimon character who is actually a digimon.
Please post applications and character reservations to this entry. Remember, this is about quality, not necessarily about length. We aren't judging you on how many comments you can stretch this out to. However, we may expect more from a certain character type, which is specified in the application itself.
Banned Digimon Partners:
The following are digimon that cannot be used in a partner's evolution line:
Lucemon (all forms)
Arkadimon (all forms)
Apocalymon
Death-X-mon
Ogudamon
Omegamon
Susanoomon
Chaosmon
UltimateChaosmon
Millenniummon
Moon=Millenniumon
ZeedMillenniumon
The latter four may one day become viable as Jogresses at the Ultimate level, but for now, are restricted and unusable except as mod-controlled NPCs.
Reservations
Character reservations also go to this entry. A mun or main journal is now required when making a reservation as a way to keep track of character count.

| Digi-Soul FAQ |

Digi-Soul first appeared in the series Digimon Savers. There, it was something that awakened when there was a connection between humans and their potential Digimon partners. When channeled correctly, it could make the Digimon evolve... and as the Digi-Soul grew more powerful, so too would the digimon be able to evolve to higher stages in its evolution line.
Digi-Soul was the power of emotion, and thus, was connected to its user's feelings. Humans with evil intentions would create a Dark Digi-Soul that caused the receiving digimon to go wild. But what was more, a Digi-Soul could allow a human's own powers to increase... any human who channeled it offensively found themselves able to be a physical match for a digimon.
But it works a little bit differently in this roleplay.

| Timeskip Application |

When a character wants to advance their character through canon that happened after they applied for the character, or send them back home for another reason, we refer to this as a timeskip. In the past, we've allowed people to do so informally, but from here on, we will be asking people to do a "timeskip application" for their characters.
It should be noted, you are only allowed to timeskip a character once.
Here is the format for the timeskip application.
New History: [Doesn't have to be as thorough as the original application's history, but it should cover as much as it needs to.]
Abilities: [Did your character accquire any new abilities along the way? Note: This does not count as your one per character app addendum]
Personality: [Did your character change at all as a result of their timeskip? If necessary, put in their original personality write up to contrast with the changes.]

| App Addendum Application |

As character abilities are a major aspect of this game, and elements have been introduced to bolster people's various attacks, we are now formally introducing the App Addendum policy.
An App Addendum is, simply, a new policy that will allow people to get in new abilities that they have accquired in Dive, or have appeared in canon after the point someone set their application, by running it by us first. However, there will come with two stipulations.
One app addendum per character: You may only do an app addendum once for a particular character.
Another character may be responsible for a power up up to a limit of three times: Basically, a character can only give someone a power up that results in new abilities up to a limit of three times, and then they can do no more. This does not apply to actions taken in a series canon or outside of the roleplay.
Because this is a balance issue, if you have done an app addendum or have one character be responsible for a power up at least three or more times prior to the setting of this policy, they will still count towards the one character or three times amount. There are some exceptions - this does not apply to the act of being given a Demon Seal, or the Bio-Hybridization proccess, and in those matters, an app addendum is not required. The same goes for items collected in Dive that are listed among the purchasable items.
Here is the format for the app addendum:
Character Name:
Method of Recieving Powers/Person responsible: [Explain how this person will accquire their new abilities, and if applicable, who they got them from.]
Description of Abilities: [Describe the new ability here. Please also describe the powers they already have, so we can relate the new ones back to the character's relative power level]

Please make sure you have, at the very least, your journal, e-mail, and time zone added to this list. There's been a new addition The Rules page, regarding applications and character counts.
The new rule is, effectively:
Digital Dive now has a policy where, if one has over 15 characters, they may only apply for two characters (no matter how minor) from any fictional work a month. Naturally, this comes with several stipulations.
1.If your application is rejected, then it does not count as one of your two monthly applications. This only applies to applications that are ultimately accepted.
2.People who fall into this category may only have two active reservations at a time, as well. If you have applied for two characters already, then you must wait until the end of the month to reserve anyone.
3.If you adopt a character from someone else, this counts as one of your monthly character acquisitions. This also applies to bringing back characters that you would have previously dropped and have been granted permission to return to the game.
4. This only applies to characters from canon; these rules would not apply to original characters, and there would be no limit placed upon them. However, if your roster does include original characters, they will be counted towards the 15-character cut off point.
This policy is in effect starting today, February 18th. From this point, everyone starts fresh, even if you have had an application accepted before today, and it only concerns applications made between now and the end of February. Then, when March rolls around, the count will reset, as it will every month onward.

This is just a word to everyone out there, stressing the importance of something.
You guys can come to us for anything; this extends to people who do or don't belong to the role-play. Be it on AIM, here on the community, we always allow people to submit their opinions on the game and any concerns about how it's managed.
In addition to being available on various messengers, we have the Suggestions post and the FAQ post. If you have any issues with the game, or suggestions on how we can improve, ideas for future events, or things that come across as something that should be changed, please give us feedback. We can't address these concerns if they're not brought to our attention.
No one's on the spot, or anything, it's just... we've gone a while, and these venues haven't been explored when they could have. Just needed to put that out there.
This will be double posted between both announcement communities to increase visibility. |
