pet store strikes again!

okay, remember me and the post about the Palmon hermit crab that I found at the mall? Well, during my last visit to the exact same store I found another Digimon attack.

They had a (albeit bootleg) Armadimon squeaky chew toy! I didn't have my phone or a camera with me...so no picture...but I speak the truth! It was an ugly little thing though, let me tell ya! lol
They gave him a fork tongue for some reason....but the way it was painted/molded on, it looks like Iori's poor digimon has a very large, oddly shaped zit! lol

Anyway, just thought I'd report this XD

By the way, the company that made said dog toy was "Zany," if anyone's interested.

Sorry for the poor image quality, but the picture was taken with my cheap cell phone and I was trying to be discreet about it - and it didn't help that my mother yells for all the store to hear "What are you taking a picture of???" lol

Hey guys! I don't know if this has been posted already, but while messing around on youtube I happened to find a user who was posting episodes of Digimon.

Now these episodes are the Singapore version....which apparently are all *English* dubbed but unedited. The voices are different than the American dubbed version (not the best acting in the world, but hey....neither was ours ^_^ Also some of the Singapore voices are more appropriate for the characters than ours - I say "some" because you'll have the occasional character like Patamon, whose voice is a just a *little* too deep for my tastes lol)

But hey! It's unedited! So for those of us who'd like to see an English version of Digimon that's closer to the Japanese version because of the lack of fansubbing....check it out!
All the names are the same (at least from what I can tell of the episodes I've watched....) except for Miyako. Why they changed her (first) name to Kiyo or something is beyond me...slight warning though: name pronounciation is bad lol ("Die-SUU-kay," "Hick-a-ree," "Tah-KAY-ruu," "Aagmon".....)

Most of the episodes of 01 and 02 are posted.

This is a pretty self explanatory post. ^^; Who are your favorite voice actors, for both the original and US versions of the show?

US version

Derek Steven Prince - (Voice of Ken, Veemon, DemiDevimon, Piedmon, Impmon, Grumblemon and Dynasmon) This is by far one of my favorite actors. I really liked him as Ken, his Veemon is adorable (DAVISH~! <3), and his Impmon and DemiDevimon are a lot of fun. I like how he managed to get so much out of the same general voice - they all sound alike, but they all end up fitting the character.

Steve Blum - (Guilmon, Yamaki, Kenta, BlackWarGreymon, J.P. to name a few) Steve Blum is pretty easy to have as a favorite actor, since he's well known for his roles in other anime. I think he did a real good job as Yamaki and BWG, and the fact that he also played Guilmon is a cute contrast. ^^;

Michelle Ruff - (Lopmon, Zoe) I really like her voice. *nods* I mean, she's an excellent actor, but I think she sounds really good, heh.

Paul St. Peter - (Cherubimon, Leomon, Wormmon) His Wormmon isn't anything to write home for, but his Leomon was always really good. I think he excelled as Cherubimon in season 4 - he managed to use that deep, growly voice as something either dripping with evil, or something incredibly tragic. He put a lot of heart into his performance.

Melissa Fahn - (Rika) She's an EXCELLENT actress. She plays Rika really well, and when she got to sing in the dub of "Runaway Locomon", I was VERY impressed.

Micheal Reisz - (Takuya, Matt) He's always been a good actor, and he's better known for Matt, but I think he really excelled as Takuya, especially when he had to "get angry" and what not.

Dave Wittenberg - (Henry, a quintillion Trailmon, stand-in Takuya) Man if this guy doesn't have range. He really really did well as Henry, and the fact that he did all of the Trailmon and gave them each a unique voice is really something. Angler the Trailmon is my favorite. MEIN KINDERRRRR!

Crispin Freeman - (Koichi) Um, this is really his one noteable role in Digimon, but I think he did a really bang up job. ^^

Eh heh... I've never really been able to watch much of the Japanese version, so I don't think I can, in good confidence, list any here. x_x

With Digimon Savers' premiere coming up this weekend, we here at digimonfandom have prepared a primer to give you all information on the upcoming series.

The story takes place in the near future. The existence of the Digital Monster has been confirmed by the discovery of the world inside the net, the Digital World. A leading researcher of the Digital World, Daimon Suguru, has made great efforts in beginning to understand the ecology of Digimon, and though they are rare, that there are evil Digimon. As a countermeasure against these Digimon, the government established the Digital World Special Investigation Corps, or DATS (Digital Accident Tactics Squad.) Professor Daimon's only son, Daimon Masaru, becomes a member of DATS, a scout, and along with Tohma and Yoshino, opposes evil Digimon.

Digimon Savers is the newest Digimon anime, set to premiere on April 2nd at 9:00 AM, on Fuji TV. After several years, Digimon returns to the air waves.

Characters

Name: Masaru Daimon (Daimon Masaru)
Age: 14

Voice Actor: Soichiro Hoshi (Hoshi Soichiro)

Masaru is the self-described "number one gang leader in Japan." A tough, brazen young man, he encounters Agumon after the former escapes from DATS. Though they initially come to blows, they come to respect each other through fighting. Later, when a digimon named Cockatrimon attacks, Masaru is able to activate a "Digi Soul", which allows him to evolve to GeoGreymon. Masaru and Agumon then become members of DATS, with Commander Satsuma's permission.

Name: Tohma H. Noshtein
Age: 14
Digimon Partner: Gaomon
Voice Actor: Hirofumi Nojima (Nojima Hirofumi)

Tohma is Masaru's rival. A child prodigy, he graduated from the university when he was 12. Tohma is the son of a Japanese woman and an Australian (Austrian?) aristocrat. The exact opposite of Masaru, he's calm and shrewd.

Name: Yoshino Fujieda (Fujieda Yoshino)
Age: 18
Digimon Partner: Lalamon
Voice Actor: Yui Aragaki (Aragaki Yui)

The oldest of the main characters, Yoshino is 18 years old, and good at living independantly. She sees herself as being something of an older sister towards Tohma and Masaru.

Digital Accidents Tactics Squad (DATS)

DATS, an acronym for the Digital Accident Tactics Squad, is an organization tasked with stopping Digimon that are causing problems in the real world. Agumon was originally captured by them, and judged to be deleted, but after becoming partners with Masaru, the two of them become members of DATS. But is that the organization's true purpose?

Name: Commander Rentarou Satsuma (Satsuma Rentarou) - A leader within DATS, who oversees Masaru, Tohma, and Yoshino.

Two members of DATS, partnered with PawnChessmon.

Lalamon is Yoshino's partner, and sees her as a close friend. She is excellent at Digimon-Human relations.

Lalamon's Baby 2/In-Training form is Badomon.

Lalamon can evolve into Sunflowmon with the power of Yoshino's Digi-Soul.

Name: PawnChessmon
Primary Attack: Unknown
Level: Child/Rookie(?)
Partnered to: Megumi Shikakawa and Miki Kurokawa

PawnChessmon are allegedly partnered to Megumi and Miki. They come in two varieties, black and white.

Digivice

The digivice for this series is the Digivice iC. In the anime, it can absorb a human's "Digi-Soul", and channel it into the digimon, allowing them to evolve.

Episodes

Episode 01: "I am Masaru!"

Summary: Daimon Masaru is a young boy who enjoys fighting even more than the 3rd serving of rice. One day, before a fight that Masaru had been training for, he encounters a strange dinosaur-like creature. This strange creature, "Agumon", is a "Digital Monster" from another world, known as the "Digital World".

Masaru and Agumon agree to talk by fighting. However, Agumon had escaped from and was being chased by an organization which investigates digital phenomena, called "DATS (pronounced 'dats')". DATS attempts to recover Agumon from Masaru.

As Masaru and Agumon are chased, they run into the Adult stage Digimon, Cockatrimon. Seeing its gigantic form ignites Masaru's combative heart, and he challenges Cockatrimon to a fight. Upon striking Cockatrimon, a "Digisoul" forms in Masaru's fist. When Agumon recieves Masaru's Digisoul, he evolves into Geo Greymon and defeats Cockatrimon.

Commander Satsuma of DATS, after reviewing the events around Agumon and Masaru, formally appoints them as scouts for DATS. Thus, the captain of the school's fight club, Daimon Masaru, and his partner Agumon, join the fight against the Digimon which threaten the boundaries of the worlds.

Hi, I'm Thea. I just joined the community so I figured I'd introduce myself. <3

I'm primarily an Adventure fan (never finished Tamers and never even tried Frontier), since those seasons are the ones I liked as a kid (and therefore the two I decided to rewatch when I found them on YouTube - currently I'm just about 3/4 of the way through Adventure 02). I might watch Tamers and Frontier once I finish with Adventure 02, I dunno. I'm definitely enjoying the series just as much now as I did when I was little.

But I have a few questions...

1) What do we know so far about season 5, and when is it coming out?
2) Does anyone know where I could possibly download episodes from any season and/or the movies? (My main reason is that I'm interested in making some Digimon AMVs, among others.)

Howdy, and welcome to Digimon Fandom. I'll work out a better looking layout for the journal later in the week, but for now, lets see how things go here. :P I know there are other Digimon communities out there (including my own digimonfics. I figured this would be worth a shot, though, with the new Digimon Next manga having already started in Japan, and with Digimon Savers starting there at the beginning of next month.
