die_support is a community dedicated to showing Die, guitarist for the band Dir en grey, the appreciation, respect and support we, as fans, have for him.

On an assigned date, Die fans from every corner of the globe will unite and show Die just how much he means to us by flooding him with supportive and caring fanmail. This will show Die that he has touched the hearts of thousands worldwide; not just by being talented, but by being himself.

By sending heartwarming fanmail to an address that will be posted closer to the closing date. It can be anything you want - letters, fanart, poetry - but please remember that this is an important project to us and we want members who are 100% serious and 100% dedicated.

Why not? Why not show Die how much you respect him as a musician, as a song writer and as a person? Why not show Die that he is appreciated throughout the world? Why not show Die how much his fans support him? Let Die really know how much he is cared for by us.

We're working on choosing a suitable date for everybody to post their mail. Don't worry - we'll let you know in advance.

Rather than having everybody send their mail on the same day and having it arrive in Japan at different times, we will assign an address that everyone can post their letters to. That way, Die can receive his fanmail in a neat package, open it and be flooded by mail from his fans.

This is a serious fan project, so obviously there will be some "do's" and "don't's" involved.

You're mostly free to choose whatever you'd like to send to Die, but please keep in mind that this has to be respectful so we won't accept any of the following;

• declarations of love - if you want to declare your undying love for Die, send him an email from the Dir en grey official site. This is a project for admiration of him, not a contest to see who loves him the most.

• bad spelling - we will be sending Die a letter in Japanese explaining all about the project but it would be helpful if you made your letters as literate as possible. Die's not a native English speaker so if he sees thousands of spelling mistakes and bad grammar, he might get horribly confused.

• perverts - again, if you want to tell Die how much you want his babies or how you'd like to tie him up naked, send him an email or a letter that isn't assosciated with die_support.

• fanfiction - as much as I'd like to show Die just how talented some of the Dir en grey fandom are, we're not allowing fanfiction of any kind to be sent. That means no het, no slash, not even a smidgeon of sexual innuendo. Nada.


We'd appreciate it if you could try to write all letters in ENGLISH if it's possible. This is just to make sure that Die will be able to understand all of his fanmail.


This is not in any way meant to be offensive to any other member of Dir en grey or to anyone in the Dir en grey fandom. This is simply a Die-based fan project who want to show Die how much we appreciate him; that's all.
