Started out with a very noisy cat fight, and worrying that one of them had gotten hurt (we’d let them outside, and it sounded like a coyote had killed one of them or something). Anxiety inducing, especially when we couldn’t find Star. They all turned up unscathed, though.
Headed over to Dan’s and went for a walk. When it was determined that blueberry picking was not happening today, we did a bit more walking, and then went to the mall to do some more walking. Had lunch at Panera, which was very good.
Stopped at Stop & Shop because I was craving something, which turned out to be a York peppermint patty and fresh raspberries. We then went to the Warsaw Park Renfaire, which we had forgone last year as a lost cause. I only know three people who work there- Larry and Leenie of Lust Leather fame (who surprised me with a hug and a kiss even though we weren’t in garb!) and Diego, which is not his real name, who no longer works there. It was not worth the $10 to get in, and if I could have gotten a refund I would have. We were there less than a half hour.
From there we returned to Dan’s house to continue walking, but got invited over to the Derby apartment to walk with Justin; Nick and Chandra joined the group, and we ended up on a 3 mile, hour and a half loop through parts of Ansonia and Derby that I don’t like being in during broad daylight hours, much less at 9 at night.
My feet are aching- those sandals were not meant for quite that much walking in one day- and I am seriously sunburned on my face, shoulders and chest. And the back of my neck. I just had some sorbet, so I’m going to slather on some moisturizer and go to bed.
