| About: | Welcome to DHallows! DHallows is a Harry Potter discussion community all about preparing you and helping you get the most out of reading the seventh and final Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We hope that this community will help you thoroughly enjoy the final book and create memories that you can look back on in later years. In the time before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is released, DHallows' purpose will mainly be a place to speculate about events in the upcoming book. Pairings in Deathly Hallows ) for the members to post on. In your posts, we hope that you as an active member of the community will explore the topic, make predictions, speculate, and discuss your thoughts with the other members in the comments. A week before Deathly Hallows is released, the mods will stop postings of predictions in order to prepare for the next stage of this community; Chapter by Chapter reactions. After Deathly Hallows is out, the members of this community will have an opportunity to post their reactions to each chapter while reading. In these Chapter-by-Chapters (CBCs) members can talk about their reactions to specific events, their predictions for the rest of the book, etc. These CBCs will have to be carefully monitored to ensure no one is spoiled, so we ask everything is put behind an LJ cut. Are you ready? If so read the rules below, and then follow the link to apply for posting access! We hope to have some great discussion with you! SIncerely, The mods: thelizabeth lilydreamer lunaslionRules 1. NO SPOILERS OUTSIDE OF LJ CUTS! This community is all about discovering HP+tDH with other fans, HOWEVER, it is also about moving at your own pace! All posts, including predictions, and ESPECIALLY Chapter-by-Chapters MUST be placed under an LJ-Cut. There are no chances with this rule. Any entries posted without LJ-Cuts will be immediately deleted and the member’s posting rights will be immediately removed. 2. Be nice. No flaming of other members will be tolerated. Respectful disagreement is fine, but any trolling, flaming, racist remarks, sexist remarks, homophobic remarks, and so on will be immediately deleted, and a warning will be given. This goes for hatin’ on people’s ships, too. This is, primarily, canon book discussion, however please respect the fact that some people would prefer if some pairings were different. Disrespect for another’s ships will result in your post being deleted and a warning will be given. Two warnings and you’re out. After all, we have feelings too. 3. Please keep on topic. We are a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows community. Making reference to other books is fine, however please keep a majority of discussion focussed on book seven. Each month we will be offering a topic for your predictions to focus on. Please stick to this for the month, as it’s quite likely that what you want to speculate on it a topic for one of the following months. If you have a topic you would love to have the community look at, feel free to contact a mod and we will see what we can do. 4. We aim to keep this community very open, and as such have decided to enforce a strict PG-13 rating. Mild and occasional cursing will be permitted in extreme circumstances, however continuous and unnecessary bad language, sexually explicit, highly violent and other unsuitable content (including images and userpics) will be deleted immediately and either a warning or banning will be issued, depending on the seriousness of the issue. 5. No spamming! Please keep your posts legible and thought out. There is some lenience for “initial reaction” over punctuation, eg. “OHMYGOSHSNAPE!!??!?!”, however, any posts which are pointless, don’t display evidence of a thought process or solely consist of capital letters and over-punctuation will be deleted and a warning will be issued. 6. Be an active member! We love to hear what you think, and will be prodding you for your thoughts on specific issues from time to time. Don’t be afraid to post! 7. Don’t argue with Dumbledore! The mods here are doing their best to make this a great experience for everyone. Please don’t argue with them or their judgements. Respectful suggestions are fine, everyone makes mistakes, but flaming, cursing and disrespect are going to earn a warning, or banning, depending on the circumstances. 8. Finally, don’t disable comments on your posts. This is a community, and as such, we’d love to offer thoughts on everyone’s posts. Please allow other members to offer their ideas on what you’ve written. If you accidentally disable comments once, the Mods will contact you to turn the option back on. If you do not respond, or continue to disable comments on your entries you will be given a warning. If this is ignored you will be banned from the community.
