Where the Wild Things Are [Dec. 17th, 2006|06:20 pm]

[mood | blank]

So, I'm having a bit of writer's block, and some trouble motivating myself to get back at it. As you fellow writers know, feedback is critical to keep you going. I'd really love any insights you all could offer. Thanks!

Where the Wild Things Are takes place after Order of the Phoenix, focuses chiefly on British faery folklore.
Oh, and it also witnesses Hogwarts' first ever Career Fair.

Title: Where the Wild Things Are

Author: Verity Evans

Chaptered/One-Shot: Chaptered

Summary: After Lord Voldemort's plan to recover the Prophesy in the Department of Mysteries fails, he employs the help of the mischievous and unpredictable Sidhe to get what he wants. With a Changeling left in his place, Harry is abducted into the very heart of Faery, and his friends will have to cross many dangerous lines in order to save him. The trouble is, they don't even know that he's gone.

Can Anyone Help Me Think of a Title? )

Author's Note: I really, really, really need a title for this fic. If anyone could help me come up with a title, that would be so awesome. And the story will not be told in order. For instance, the prologue is where the story really ends, and the rest of the chapters are about how they got there. And I do plan on writing a sequel.

My D/G train de-railed a couple of years ago (I got into Sentinel Slash, followed by Queer as Folk). Anyways, I'm back and I was wondering if anyone could rec me some really good D/G. I've been searching for the past week for something. *tear*

I'll read anything. Please help ^^. The only thing is that there has to be good grammar, and a decent plot, unless it is just sex ^^.

Cheers <--I've been wanting to say that ALL day, and I'm American. Thanks in advance.

Here's my rec for this week:

Title: Winter of the Roses

Author: aloof_adrift

One Shot/Chaptered: One shot

Summary: It was, as I remember, the winter of the roses. Each day would dawn, and each sun would set, and I would put one more rose in the cracked glass vase on the table beside my bed. There, I would gaze at the roses, until I fell back into the blissful world of innocent sleep. I would dream about the roses, and remember what they were for. No one had ever given me a rose before, and I held onto those roses like a babe holds onto its mother. I needed the roses, just as much as I needed him." A D/G one-shot
