I mentioned a couple of times that Mitsuru Adachi is my favourite mangaka, but I never get around finishing Touch or H2. I'm changing that now.
- H2 is on its way. Last time I was around tank 20 I think but now the scanlation team are done and the serie has been completely translated.
My problems with H2 are 1) too much baseball (more than usual) oriented than his other works and 2) I invested emotionally in the couple that does not end together which never happened to me before in an Adachi verse.
He is usually pretty clear on whom you should be rooting for. Everyone has their turn to shine but there's no mistake possible on who is in love with who. That's why I love him so much, that's because it's all about the small details in the big picture.
If you take Miyuki, There's the false question about Miyuki knowing or not that's she not really Masato's sister.
She was 2 years old when she entered the Wakamatsu family, her mother treated Masato as her own son and Masato did forget they weren't related and only remembered at the end of tank 1 (what a spazz!).
Masato didn't want to tell her the truth because he's afraid she was going to feel lonely being an orphan and without tangible blood link in the whole wide world. But rapidly enough, people and Miyuki herself remind him that she has an excellent memory (her mother died when she was 2 or 3 years old but she remembers exactly what she used to cook for new year festivities). So she knows. It was never a real question.
Back to H2 you know Hikari's bag lock code isn't a pun of her boyfriend name it's Hiro's birthday. It was never a real question...
Hikari and Hiro and their long history of missing opportunities broke my heart in tiny little pieces since it's so apparent they love each so much.
- Touch will be next if I don't overdose on the H2 baseball.
- I wasn't even up to date with his on-going manga, Cross game until last week.
Cross game is like Little women play baseball. Koh is SO Laurie. He is the guy next door that loves the 4 neighbours' daughters so much that you know he will not marry outside of that family. Not a single girl can compare since the 4 girls represent an aspect of the perfect woman. And marrying into the March family for Laurie and the Tsukishima family for Koh means they will never lose that precious link.
So I caught up Cross game and I'm totally puzzled over the Akane arc.
Even before Wakaba died I thought it was going to be Koh and Aoba story. You know that Wakaba and Koh are Laurie and Jo : the perfect couple that is not meant to be. Aoba is Amy because like Amy she isn't the hero's type but end up with him, beating the odds.
It is etablished that Koh is turning into Aoba's ideal boyfriend (efficient in baseball). And Koh can't stop himself to be annoyed when Aoba (who is popular like wouah with all kind of boys) talks with other boys so I was thinking very slow kind of romance ...
But no, the Jury is still on the fence about Koh and Aoba. It's not as clear as usual. Which is confusing but good type of confusing.
Koh and Aoba are portrayed as alike so maybe they are too much alike ? Aoba isn't jealous of Akane (who looks like wakaba physically and personality wise... this a bit sick but I don't like Akane enough to feel sorry for her) quite the contrary, she's encouraging Koh to pursue her.
There's also the story with Yuhei Azuma falling for Aoba (I love his character design, it's refreshingly different from the usual good guys ... I love his huge black pupils and his dead pan lines delivery), and I would love this story-line to be explored (I'm afraid I'm going to be crushed when Aoba will realise she doesn't hate Koh and start seeing him through wakaba's eyes).
- Bleach is back to the present time story line and is boring again (except that one panel where Kira was going to explode because he heard Gin's name... I can't wait for them to meet again.)
- I've been in the middle of a avocado frenzy.
It seems I include them in all my meal. Yesterday it was avocado, shrimp and salad sauce, today for my lunch dessert I mixed them with sugar and tonight I plan to eat ground beef with cheese, ,daikon radish and avocado piece (and some rice maybe...)
The box art for the Complete Series release of Beauty & the Beast looks really nice.
The complete box art for the s7 Smallville release; the back cover lists all the extras that'll be included.
The 8th season of CSI will be out on DVD on October 14th. The cover is ♥. And, in fantastic & unexpected news, it will include the crossover Without a Trace episode.
The 4400 is getting a Complete Series release, scheduled for October 28th. (It'll include a brand new bonus disc.)
Mo Ryan has casting spoilers for s2 of Damages.
She also has details about other FX shows: notable for me is the news that Michael J. Fox is doing four episodes of Rescue Me & the confirmation that The Riches is definitely in jeopardy ('ratings fell by 44 percent between Season 1 & 2').
Mo continues a hot streak with this How I Met Your Mother article. It doesn't look there are any spoilers & she talks about the tie-in book that's coming out (The Bro Code).
TVShowsonDVD has all the details about the s3 HIMYM DVD release. (Here's more, though I think there is a fair bit of overlap.)
While this is a week or so late, confirmation of a Heroes casting spoiler.
The American Vampire League -- a tie-in True Blood site. :D :D
Besides that website, HBO is doing a brilliant job of promoting True Blood. Maybe too brilliant actually, as people are mistaking the fake 'Tru Blood' advertisements as legitimate.
The advertisting magazine Creativity has a look at the fake Bloodcopy blog that is yet another True Blood viral site.
And Brand Week has a look at the whole campaign.
A True Blood prequel comic book debuted at Comic-Con.
A LA Times critic thinks that 'True Blood is Twilight for grown-ups'.
The huge EW article featuring the 'oral history' of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
GateWorld has an interesting article with Robert Picardo. There are spoilers for Stargate Atlantis s5 in there.
Jason O'Mara seems like an asshole & the fact that he's the only actor that was retained when they scrapped everything after the failed first pilot for the American Life on Mars-- yeah, this show is going to suck so much. (Not that it wasn't fairly obvious to begin with...) I really don't think that the 'stunt' casting of Harvey Keitel can save this show.
Sci Fi has released details about some of their original movies that'll be out in 2009. All I'll say is that Sci Fi is consistent if nothing else. :P
And here are details about some new television programming they're working on. I'm rather annoyed that Sci Fi is putting even more 'reality' shows on the air, but the scripted What If? sounds like it'll be really cool.
Lee Pace dishes about what we can expect in the next season of Pushing Daisies.
David Arquette is doing an episode of Pushing Daisies. As is Everwood's Debra Mooney.
As much as Joss denies it, what's going on with Dollhouse seems like deja vu for Firefly fans.
The official press release for the s1 release of Eli Stone.
The third season of Supernatural is coming out on Blu-ray on November 11th.
Details about the NA release of the first season of The Sarah Jane Adventures. :D (Here's the information about the extras.)
Shannen Doherty is confirmed for the 90210 remake.
SPIKE will be airing an original Afro Samurai movie in January. Lucy Liu is joining Samuel L. Jackson for it.
With the time change & general lack of support from the network, it's unlikely that Swingtown will be renewed; right now, I'm just hoping for a full season. :/ This New Republic review explains why that's a damn shame.
A few moderate Bones spoilers were revealed at Comic-Con.
The first three seasons of (the new) Doctor Who are available at iTunes.
Fans who go see David Tennant & Patrick Stewart in Hamlet will have to leave their sci-fi merchandise stuff at home.
Jordana Brewster has joined the cast of Chuck for a few episodes. The article has spoilers!
And here are more details about Nicole Richie's appearance on Chuck.
Megalyn Echikunwoke has joined the cast of CSI: Miami, replacing Khandi Alexander. You may remember Megalyn from The 4400 & 24.
The cast for the BBC's production of Merlin is looking fantastic: John Hurt, Richard Wilson, Anthony Head, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Ryan, & even Eve Myles.
JMS has decided that Babylon 5 will only be revisited as a feature film.
The network order for The Middleman has been trimmed from 13 to 12. That's... not good. :/
Neil Gaiman talked to an entertainment blog about the 20th anniversary of Sandman.
Simon Pegg did a fairly extensive interview with Wired about Spaced.
Amanda Tapping talked to GateWorld about Sanctuary.
John Barrowman talked to the BBC about why he did The Making of Me (aka the 'why am I gay?' programme).
Only a tiny tiny little sample of what's on my iPod ...
Why a "musical" post, you ask? Well, because 1) I love music, and 2) I love hearing new stuff.
I hope that you do too. If you don't, then skip the damn post (damn it!) And come back in a couple of days.
***WARNING*** a couple of videos featured in this post might hurt the sensibilities of some people (covering my a** just in case, because you never know who might stumble upon this). Don't watch if you don't want to, but at least listen to the tracks because that's the whole purpose of this post. Listening. I tried my best to find the songs on YT, but not every song has an actual 'official music video', which means that sometimes the videos that you will see will have absolutely nothing to do with the song itself. You've been warned.
Now go ahead and enjoy!

J'ai 117 dvds. Je compte pas les divx et les coffrets de series télés. Quand est-ce que j'ai acheté tout ça moi?
Watched Without the King.
It's a documentary about Swaziland.
I recommend it if you are interested to learn more about the last absolute monarchy worldwide.
its totally completely possible that the intense little lingering moments that I have with Leon are all in my head. possible, but unlikely. considering he's the one who makes them linger. like cuddling, and he's there and I shift away and he pulls me back. Or at training when we're sparring each other (got the comment that watching the two of us sparring makes others feel dirty like they've been watching lover making out).
and its little comments, or even big comments. things like 'I hate leaving you, hate this moment so much'.
ungh.
just when I figured I had gotten over it.
Main reports seem to indicate that there will be more Dr. Horrible. I'm not sure much else got discussed from reports so far!
Doctor and Donna had their teim bbs, I named them Romana i and Romana ii. I then realized HOW STUPID that was when they looked identical and I have no clue which is which by looking at them. No one in the house is sleeping well (and the nannies don't actually do much), and Donna had to quit her job because they're TWINS. I plan on extending her life so she can attempt to get her LTW when they're children and not toddlers.
The Doctor is a Doctor, it was honorary because they didn't want to give a nurse a commendation or something (then he got another honorary title, which is weird, I guess it's because having Romanas made him go platinum mood for two sim days), it was funny because I'd just watched the serial where Four is all "my doctorate is purely honorary, and Harry here is only qualified to work on sailors"
Oh, and I built onto the garage so Jenny has her own little apartment up top with ground access and everything (And she has it set to lock and only open for her, so she can be semi independent and have adult sleepovers when she's old enough.)
AND I made a bowling ally as one of the community properties. I think I also want to make a park.
HAHA guess what ...I still know how to open photoshop. It had been so long I thought I had forgot.
Ok Icons from DH Act 1
Ya'll know the deal , right?

Has anyone honestly every actually won anybody over in a debate by using any of these lines?
(1) Fans of this show/person/thing- You're all retards!
(2) Did we watch the same show? THAT WAS SHITE!
(3) Well clearly you're just a brainless fanboy/girl
(4) Are you all high or something? THAT WAS SHITE!
I really do wonder why I continue to bother with forums/sites like IMDB sometimes.
In other news, surprised to read Carol Vorderman will be leaving Countdown. It'll be interesting to see who they get to replace her. Oh well, as long as Suzie's still in dictionary corner, I won't mind.
The Dark Knight has toppled the Godfather as number one on imdb. Of course, Bru-ha-ha has begun, but given how I've not seen the Dark Knight yet, I can't really comment. And besides, if you're gonna get really that upset about a bloody movie list, clearly you need to sort out your priorities in life.
Well, enough of that, time to get some breakfast.

Sent to Entertainment Weekly tonight, after reading their ass-kissing article:
Katy Perry's first two singles are incredibly offensive. One song relies upon tired gay stereotypes, and "I Kissed A Girl" makes the statement that it's alright for straight girls to use gay ones to get attention and that kissing another female is "not what good girls do." As a queer Christian, I disagree. Perry says her "gay friends" like the songs. I am not one of them.
I might've sent them a "Thank you for picking 'Journey's End' as the Must-Watch of the Week" note, but the fact that they wrote an article about Perry without bothering to mention those of the gay community who are offended by her kind of negated that.
Grr. Time to go watch MST3K and write.

Dexter Season 3 Preview. WANT!
waiting on Matty & Nicholas to come over then heading to Danny's show at some point

ok, i am all for sad endings, because well lets be honest, its more life-like. however, the ending of this movie pretty much pissed me off. i mean i will still buy the dvd, but the ending made me angry. That stupid Briory. fuck her. but anyways, it was an amazing movie for the biggest part of the movie, so i can forgive the ending.
so yea i should go to bed soon, especially since i need to work tomorrow. ugh.

It's called a job, guys. Not everyone can be a receptionist or art designer or fucking mechanic. Some of us have no experience and live places where the job market is shit and all we can do is get on the phone and try to sell shit.
