Sunrise and Sand
Holy crap, I'm actually posting something omg.
So, finally played KH2, which has inspired me to write lots of SoRiKai goodness. And here it is =D.
Title: Sunrise and Sand
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Theme Set/Number: Warm/Mature; "1"
Characters/Pairing: Sora/Riku/Kairi
Rating: PG-13
Warning(s): None, really. Unless you fear slash.
Notes (if any): Takes place post KH2.
More often then not, the three would find themselves sitting naked on the beach of Destiny Beach, taking in the warm rays of first light. Usually, they ended up with Kairi in Sora's lap, and he in Riku's. But they also mixed it up from time to time, even forming big dogpiles like they had when they were just children, albeit far less innocent.
This morning was like so many others as the sun slowly crested the horizon, casting a faint golden glow over the sea and warm, soft sand. Kairi was pressed tight against Sora's chest, his arms draped loosely around her shoulders and chin on her hair. He was lazily stroking her chest in a soothing, highly enjoyable manner. As he did so, Riku lay with arms wrapped around his waist, gently nuzzling his cheek.
"Love you guys," Sora murmured, a half-smile on his face that shone with fresh sun.
Riku snorted softly. "No, really?"
Sora pouted and japped his elbow back into Riku's exposed side. "I'm seriously, you jerk."
"Boys," Kairi muttered sternly, running her fingertips slowly over the back of Sora's busy hand to make sure it stayed where it was.
"Sorry, Kairi," they replied in unison, and she just knew they had smug little smiles on their faces.
And so, without warning, she flipped around and pushed them both to the ground, viciously tickling the two boys each in turn, until they lay panting on the beach.
"You're such punks," she murmured, trying to look cross but failing.
"Yup," Sora agreeing, smiling broadly.
"A pair of lowlifes," Riku added, an eyebrow and one corner of his mouth quirked defiantly. She felt the urge to kiss that smirk off his face, but resisted. For now.
For now, she just sighed heavily and fell back onto them, resting her head against Sora's chest and draping her legs over Riku's lap. And there they just lay, watching the slow sunrise.
