Who remembers the valetine's day e-card with art and articia on it? before girl's not grey was the single? who remembers the limited edition AFI vans that Vans sold (i had a pair, shit), who remembers the 13976 page interview that AMP had with AFI in like, their first issue? And who remembers the ink stains the ghetto ink left on your fingers -___-
I'm asking all this because i let my hatred for other AFI fans that i deem to be less of a fan than myself, get in the way of my love for AFI. All those things, the e-card, the Vans, the shitty magazines (with amazing interviews, btw), the Clandestine DVD, all that stuff just reminds me of why i love AFI. AFI was what people knew me for in high school. I had so many AFI shirts i could wear one everyday of the week and not have to wash a damn one. I had AFI vans, i had pictures of Adam Carson plastered in my locker (be still my heart). But once i hit seventeen (and i'm only eighteen now) my thirteen year old self forgot about the music and started focusing on well....the incoming thirteen year olds. And it pushed me away from the DF and AFI because i just couldn't get along with these new kids that i suppose i used to be like. So hi, i'm Stephanie. I've been a DF member since 2004 and i'm on my way back to rediscovering why i loved AFI in the first place. Thanks for the chance to do so.

Interesting fact or two: In the last year I've seen the boys in Kansas City, St. Louis, Des Moines, and Milwaukee - front row and the front of the line every show. I have Davey's water bottle from St. Louis and a couple of girls almost tried to beat me up at the same show because I made fun of his pants. Interesting enough, I suppose.

Apparently I'm an idiot & never noticed this community even existed. & I've been a member of LJ for 5 years & a member of the DF for 4. Whose lame?!

Interesting fact or two: I've been fortunate enough to witness the boys put on a show 5 times & I've met them a few times as well. I made them sign a duck decoy at the meet & greet in St. Louis last year & caused a bit of uproar. ;] Jade threw a pick at me & a nice security guard got me a setlist. :] I ran into Adam & Smith in a Mexican restaurant in Tulsa this year. Jade & I only discuss things regarding corn dogs & hot dogs.
That was probably more than you asked for, but those are all of the bragging rights I have. HEY!
