Sorry to be a bother, but I'd just like to let everyone know that I am hosting a new set of blog crews, over here.

There are currently ninety-seven different crews to choose from, all different animes, video games, television series, and many other fandoms and quirks, so I'm hoping there will be a little something that anybody and everyone can enjoy.

DLM_Fanfiction

There's an idea that trascendenza and I have of creating a Dead Like Me fanfiction database. Any and Everyone is invited to post their works, old and new. We're creating a detailed tagging system, so anyone looking for different styles of fics can find them.

We also are trying to keep the DLM fandom alive in monthly challenges. So,

Dead From Death?

I'll start off with an introduction. My name is Keith, I'm 22 and I live in New York. I just started watching Dead Like Me when it was brought to the Sci-Fi channel and I have already purchased Season one and two on DVD. (Two episodes a week wasn't cutting it.) I was also furious to find out that they canceled such a brilliant show.

... aaaand American Idol is in what, it's sixth year now? -_-;

But anyways, what I actually wanted to post:

Anybody else think that Death from The Sandman comic series might have had any influence in Dead Like Me?

In my opinion the idea of Death being something other than a horrid figure in a black robe carrying a scythe is already a hint. But I'm sure The Sandman comics weren't the first to show Death as something other than what we commonly think of. And who knows, maybe Bryan Fuller has never even heard of this comic?

So I am a little rusty at making icons, but to celebrate my purchase of both seasons of Dead Like Me on DVD, I made some icons. These are mostly of the pilot episode and some of season 2. Again, excuse the suckage, I haven't made icons in forever and these were done between 2:15 and 5:30am.

Wanted Characters | Taken Characters | Opposing Forces Present

WANTED!! Characters from Battlestar Galactica, Dead Like Me, Firefly, Harry Potter, Lost, the Secret Circle Series, Star Wars and Underworld.

Eremosis is a mutli-fandom game set in an original setting that is undergoing a rebound from it's own down fall. We have an overall plot with plenty of room for any character to become involved. Heros and villians are welcome.

We have a set of great, friendly, mature mods - who love plot as much as they love air they breath. They have successfully run another active roleplaying game for over 6 months. So have no fear that this game will die, shortly after it starts.

Game will open once there are a few (2 to 3) more players.

If you have not yet done your "Sound Off" at Jack Myers' site (mediavillage.com), do so now, and vote in the poll this week. If you have done it, please get your friends and family to vote. Hell, if you go to a library or something, go to the computer, surf to that site, and browse elsewhere in the library. Maybe a fan of DLM will get on that computer and vote, too. (Sure, the librarian may come and turn it off, but it's worth a shot, don't you think?)

I just thought this was interesting...My parents are big Stargate fans and I happened to sit down and watch it with them last night. In the episode last night SciFi used the diner set from Dead Like Me in a scene.

Hope for life of the show? I don't know but maybe we can keep our fingers crossed still.

Inspired by someone on the deadlikemeonline.com forum, I decided to put Post-Its (purple!) in with my letter to Showtime to try to sway their decision to axe Dead Like Me. Some of my handiwork (with many in-jokes, so for the sake of those who don't watch, I'll lj-cut it.)

Dead Like Me is not "Gone with the Wind"
It's "Crystal" clear, we love Dead Like Me
(the classic, simple, "Save Dead Like Me")
We are Herbig-est fans - bring back DLM (with apologies to a poster on the DLMO.com boards who goes under that name)
No DLM, no Happy Times
Cancelling DLM will "reap havoc" on your subscriber numbers
Don't reap our show
Don't Waffle- bring back DLM!
No Joy Lass? Try JOY LESS.
and...
DLM has "Business Unfinished". (name of an episode in the first season.)

Don't think it'll do much, but hey, I'm one of many many unhappy fans. :)

The debate finally ends

Seems some of us were right, and "sources" were wrong. They still look different to the world around them. I remember this debate a while ago. Someone mentioned it was said they dropped the idea, but after watching the season finale, it's quite obvious that part of the plot was NOT dropped.

They probably got tired showing what they look like to the world around them, but the halloween episode proves that they do look different. So Millie and George don't look the same.

An end to the debate.
