welcome to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} depp_elite. this is an elite icon community for the incredible actor/musician johnny depp. if you want to bar yourself from the aggravation of going through pages and pages of rubbish, join up. and if you think you've got the skills, go ahead and apply to post your own icons. membership is obviously selected. you must apply to post here, and your icons will be judged on cropping, quality, coloring and use of text. | |
| RULES | |
o1. IF YOU WANT TO JUST TAKE/VIEW ICONS ON YOUR FRIENDS' PAGE, WATCH THE COMMUNITY. DO NOT JOIN. o2. no requests posts. plenty of other comms for that. o3. wallpapers, fanart and fanmixes are acceptable, just put the images behind a cut if they're larger than 300x300. o4. no more than three preview icons. for the rest, use an lj-cut. o5. any icons containing obvious spoilers must be behind a cut. use your own discretion; if the movie ends with his character being stabbed to death, don't put up a preview icon of the knife in his gut. though i'm not sure why you'd want to. o6. when applying, put "aardvark sex" in the subject line so i know you read the rules. o7. if you're not accepted, don't get pissed off. your icons will get constructive criticism. two weeks after you're denied, if you take our advice and try to applied the suggested techniques to your graphics, you can apply again. o8. CREDIT CREDIT CREDIT. COMMENT COMMENT COMMENT. cannot stress this enough. always credit/comment the poster, you'd want them to do the same for you. o9. tag please! use the prefix "film:" and then the title, including articles (e.g., "film: the man who cried" instead of "film: man who cried"), and if it's just icons of johnny in person, simply say "depp: self". this is just to make it easier for people looking for specific icons. 1o. you must be approved by AT LEAST ONE of the moderators to join the community. that's all folks. this list is subject to change, it will be announced when alterations to the rules are administered. | |
