| About: | Rules.... someone said we needed to lay down some rules for this community. So here they are. Don't write anything illegal. NO PORN, NO STALKING, NO HACKING, NO SPAM, NO FIGHTING, etc.... ALL complaints about posts should be directed to the moderator (playground monitor). But why bother a moderator.. You've all aggreed to the TOS when you signed up If you have been abused, notify the abuse hotline Two community specific rules that I can think of... Rule 1: Name of the journal should be self explainatory but I suppose that's not always the case... So rule one is that your posts should pertain to Denver... Like things to do in Denver, places to eat in Denver, good drink specials in Denver... Things people in Denver would care about. Good Example: "Gabor's offers $5 pitchers during Avs games." This is an important thing in Denver. Bad Example: "I'm soooooo lonely and someone should chat with me!!!!" or "I had a great weekend!" Keep that garbage to your personal journal. Rule 2: People keep complaining about the flyers... SO... If you have a weekly club night or any sort of regular event please don't post a flyer for it every week, once a month is plenty as the membership in here just doesn't change that rapidly (Even then how hard is it to use a cut tag? I'll even teach you) and I am not alone in getting tired of seeing flyers for the same place every week... You want to post a quick one liner "BTW LipGloss is extra special this Friday" with a link to your site then I'm not going to be too anal aout it but we don't need a full page ad with a flyer every single week... (I'm not using LipGloss as a bad example as they are normally good about it, and it's a jolly fun night BTW) The enforcement of these rules, whether the post will be deleted or the person will be banned or whatever, will be based entirely on my discretion... Which is often based entirely upon how much I have had to drink, so best not to test it. Yes I can be bribed... Use your noggin before you post kids. Journal safely. And if you are under 18, don't use the internet without your parent's permission. If you don't aggree with the rules, maybe its time to opt-out. | |
