Okay, I know you guys are going to think I'm nuts but...oh well. :)

Does anyone have a puppet or stuffed vulture/buzzard in good condition that I can borrow for a week for my church's VBS? I specifically need a buzzard/or vulture. I can't subtitute other birds like owls or eagles.

What's up with Andy's Bar?

For years I've been going there and listening to music. They hired new people. They put in an addition to the apartment upstairs, and they totally fucking suck now. The VIP area looks cool...but unless you are a pedophile looking to enjoy a quiet night of Playboys and ESPN it is the lamest thing I've ever seen. That's not even what I have a problem with.

The sound guy (in training) had the mix muddled and unintelligible (mid-rangey for you audiophiles) at first, then you could hear the monitors over the main mix cracking, because they were too hot. And after the show he shouted at the band that they had to move out all their equipment before they got paid.

I am so sorry that Andy's hired a bunch or pre-schoolers to work there, because I thought it was an establishment for true Dentonites to enjoy music and drinking.

Generally I like to see new attitudes, but not when the attitudes totally disrespect what has come before them. Imagine the new staff of Andy's taking a piss on Pops Carter.

I have never seen a band play from 11 p.m. until last call and keep everyone there. The crowd left with nothing but smiles, but the staff stuck around with nothing but attitude. I saw the Andrew Tinker Band play for more than two hours and when I left I saw only disrespect for the band from the new staff.

I hope Andy's will inform its new staff members that it's been around for much longer than they have, and that good music is harder to come by than bartenders and door guys.

I don't want my five bucks back, because the band was totally worth it. But is an apology from Andy's in order? I would say so.

I bought her a year ago and she's been kept on her stand in a walk-in closet. She's in like-new condition; her hair has been washed and conditioned with organic human products once (when I first got her), but otherwise, she is unaltered.

Has anyone else noticed the (seemingly) wild parrots around town?

I'm in NW Denton. They seem to have a pretty good range and numbers (A friend of mine saw a group of 8). I don't think they are lost pets, (at least that are being actively searched for) because they do not seem very people-friendly and have been around the area for quite a while.

Any other sightings?

like a bunch of people, my room-mate is going to some other country to teach english, so he's selling pretty much everything in the house.

he's got a bunch of random furniture and small electronics and who knows what else.. .

i have some stuff too. heres what id like to get rid of:

- limar 730 bike helmet (new. never used. too big.)
- black and decker corded drill
- toaster oven
- halogen outdoor light fixture
- three! smoke detectors (my mom didnt know how small my house was and got me like 5 of them)
- odyssey trigger bmx brake lever
- wide cruiser bars
- sleeveless cycling jersey that looks like a texas flag (too big for me)
- condenser mic
- stuff i used for lithography and the little toolbox thing its all in
- set of practically new white-wall cruiser tires (26x2.125)

American Harvest Snackmaster Dehydrator 2200...

It has only been used maybe 2 times...it has the box, all the directions, recipes, and even some ancient beef jerkey seasonsings (which funny enough have made the entire box smell a bit beefy)

Works great and makes awesome fruit roll ups, I just do not have the patience to wait days for a snack to be ready- plus I am moving and won't have as much kitchen room as I do now.
