Stephen Chow Co-Produces Dragon Ball Movie

DO NOT WANT!!!

This is why the Hong Kong film industry produce the worst crap than their TV Dramas; it lost its touch before Jet Li, Chow Yun Fat and Jackie Chan been ask to make movies for Hollywood. Dragon Ball will just turn out to be the next Kung-fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer. The storyline is just pretty much says it will do horribly on the wide screen.

Bleach Chapter 319/Episode 166-167/Fillergami Arc: Dream of an Empty Dream/Lucid Dream

I found the core mythology to Ant and the Dragon.

Based off one of Chinese Folklore called Dream of Nan-ke (南柯一梦) based on the novel/story called "The Biography of the Taishou of Nan-Ke" (南柯太守传). Japanese Shinto brought back with the same tale back to Japan and called it Dream of Akinosuke, reinvented into their story. Anyway the tale began like this...

During the Tang Dynasty a scholar by the name of Chun Yufen (淳于棼), often drunk and fell asleep under an old Pagoda Tree south of his house. In his dream, Chun Yufen met with an atomy who introduced himself to Chun Yufen that he came to invite him to the great Kingdom of Pagoda. Chun Yufen gladly went there with him. He found himself into a fairy world with many red gates, magnificent palaces, luxuriant pavilions and beautiful gardens; in a word, it couldn't be found in the real world.

The king appreciated him very much so that he was named the head of Nanke. Soon after, he married the king's pretty daughter Princess of Gold Branch (金枝公主). Chun Yufen was so happy with the life there that he totally forgot his hometown and his family.

But it was not long before the kingdom was invaded by another country and Chun Yufen had to lead the troops to hold out the enemies. Unfortunately his troops were defeated and his wife died. Chun Yufen was badly hit and he felt very disappointed to himself, so he decided to leave the Kingdom of Pagoda. In the end, he was sent home by the atomy. As soon as he arrived home, he woke up to realize what had happened was just a dream, which only took him a short time to have. There lay the half glass of alcohol on the ground in front of him. And there was an ant creeping on one of his feet. Looking down from the little creature he found an ant nest in the old pagoda tree.

"Oh, it must have been the Ant Nest that I entered and took for that kingdom in my dream." he murmured.

Chinese: Dream of Nan-ke
English: Dream of Nan-ke

Basically in English Folklore would be Country Mouse and City Mouse; Man in the Iron Mask... etc switching roles... Movies such as Bat-Man and Iron Man pretty much paint the same picture of human evolution accelerating at very fast pace created from our ancient ancestors from on-going warfares fighting against themselves due to political powers and conflict. Chinese-Japanese believe that the insects are personification of the human soul, such as the butterflies. Ants are personified as Mankind's superior in terms of chastity, ethics, social structure, longevity, and evolution.

Bleach Chapter 319

Kubo Tite just crack some really bad jokes in the recent Chapter. This is suppose to be a war... Ikkaku just prayed to Szayel Aporro... Now I'm more curious what happens when they finally meet.

Message from the unknown?

Woke up this morning so tightly wrapped up in my blanket that it took me a few minutes to sort it out so that I could get out of bed. Hint that my body wants rest? PERHAPS.

In other news, finally wrote up my drop post for Tsuna at Poly, and got Arturo back into the swing of posting. Not sure who, or if, I'll apply for next, but definitely getting back into the flow of things. There are also some other things I need to work on, which I will try to put focus on this weekend.

Ahh, last day at work. Only clerk, spending 9-3 helping with interviews, going to be tired I suspect. BUT! Friday! No TL! I will be upbeat!

The Business World

Re-watching The Corporation Documentary.. I remember watching it during one the high school field trips and going to the movie theater, and fell asleep in the middle of it, watching the whooping 3-4 hours long movie. It gets amusing at the end when it mentions about Godzilla eating Bambi...

Speaking of sleep; I should go turn myself in... Bambi will kick Godzilla ass in return...

Time well wasted?

I spent the last 3 1/2 hours organising my iTunes library, stopping short at putting the lyrics into most of the songs (I do aim to have them for character songs).

I now have the most organised music library I have EVER had. Complete with comment notes on the majority of character songs, etc.

Waste of time? Or organisational investment? WHO KNOWS.

Too much work, too little time

  • Jul. 23rd, 2008 at 6:34 PM
Not often that it comes about, but there was so much work to be done today and yesterday that I simply could not get to most of it. Lots to do, and one person being on vacation while 80% of the other person's day is devoted to something else means that the main workload of three falls to me. YAY. Bit tired, yes.

On the inspiration side, I found a song that works with the project my time is being devoted to, making working on it? Much easier.

Shall get up the energy to get some food momentarily.

Final Fantasy IV

The dubbing is not bad at all in the English version. They have subtitles too... I think I need to play the Japanese version as well. Whee... No roleplaying, but I have another roleplay to play away... Art improvement and more screen action... Wheee!!! Ack... The functions are harder to handle...

Twilight

I think Stephenie Myer needs a psychiatrist...

Abusive vampire boyfriends is what make them shiny and glittering white knight of the sun? Unless your name begins with Szayel Apollo, then you are forgiven. The author has never seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer, not even the classic movie before Joss Wheodon's. Here's some Twilight Parody to laugh at your expense.

Watching Kamen Rider Kiva. Dork knight of Kurenai Otoya is more shinier than this...

and the time comes to return

back

And, to celebrate, some album sampling!

Ill Nino - Enigma - Kellogg's Bombs & Cracker Jacks, Hot Summer's Tragedy, Finger Painting (With The Enemy)
Ill Nino remains, to date, my favourite band. Despite the fact that I constantly type the name the lazy way. Their music simply pings me on multiple levels, and their newest album does not disappoint. Hot Summer's Tragedy is my favourite of this trio and has quickly become a character song for one of my Elemod crew.

Disturbed - Indestructible - The Curse, Perfect Insanity, Indestructible
For as long as I've known this band, it has not been a bad investment to pick up their albums. At this time, I have not listened to much of these latest songs, but have faith that they will be interesting and a nice addition to my music library. No specific track recommendations at this time, sorry~

Speaking of music, Breaking Benjamin has begun recording the tracks for their new CD! Wheee, excited. ♥

Internet Spiraling Downhill in Canada

World apocalypse in 20th Century of Internets

I don't know how many times one my friend keeps telling me to sign petitions for either cellphones and internet is going with it too. Is an on-going internet war from censorshipping, and well Telecommunication Corporations are taking your money from bandwidth limited and usage. My internet provider as one of my friend stated they already limited to 60 GB and we use the same provider...

Orchestra and Classical Music

Yes... I'm a bit off an odd-ball...

I still need to need to extract the Nodame Cantabile Special Best to give it a listen; still need to dig out the 100 Best for Nodame Cantabile I had on HD for a while before I burned that off. Might put them on put on iPod and besides classical music is best music for sleep. Just recently download the Gyakuten Saiban/Ace Attorney Special Courtroom 2008 Orchestra Concert.

Fandom is a Good and Happy Place

Snatched from Debbiechan

All of sudden I'm seeing butterflies, rainbows, kitties and flowers everywhere. It feels like heaven in its own utopia; where fans come to discuss about their pairings, characters and other fandom matters.

More Nitta Controversy

I have no words for being follower of BL to some extent...

Nitta Tracing Issue as Tribute

I guess with this that keeps track of her large amount of previous tracing and copying advertisement; she definitely won't be let go too lightly from the plagerism. Copyright infringement laws and lack of creativity are catching onto us. Patnets only last 7 years are so before renewal if I remmeber correctly from Entrepreneur in HS...

Reason For ADV Failure

Bleach, Death Note and Naruto to Hit US iTunes.

Not a fan of dubs... A company that knows how to reach its audience and fanbase through the actual media itself. I guess ADV were too caught up blaming fans for downloading, and such. I guess VIZ/Shounen Jump suck it up and knows that there are downloaders out there and yeah, people still buy their goods.

The Energy Non-Crisis

Is no longer about Supply and Demand...

And people who buy and sell...

I guess one female parental family mutual friend was right on about the high inflation gas prices! Goddamn reserved oil and only use when there's an emergency; and not selling it to other countries. The inflation gas prices are not coming down as it should when needed for Supply and Demand. Reserving oil for what reason when it's just going to sit there like any unused stock in the supply room. We're still not in recession...

Basic Accounts are Back

Basic Accounts are being brought back: The Proposals; finally the company has something to stand on (the ground). I think they should fix the hidden scheme layouts while they are it. Which Six Apart shoved it under the rug while they were here.
