I am utterly speechless...
Just read this part of JKR's interview:

"It’s like cyber gang warfare. People really wanted Harry and Hermione to end up together. (CHEERS) They’re still out there! Get over it!"

*sputters incoherently with fury*

If she and i were ever locked in a room together, then so help me God, i would not be responsible for my actions.

Well that's it - i'm done. I'm not buying book 7, for two reasons. One - it will totally suck and ruin all love i had for the series. Two - i point blank refuse to do ANYTHING that will line this horrid woman's pockets.

And for the record, i'm NOT getting over it. I never will. Delusional to the end.

ETA: The more i look at it, that quote actually sounds like she's telling everyone else that H/Hr shippers are still out there and that they need to get over that fact and leave us alone. In which case she's actually helping us out for once. Boy, i feel stupid.

Amen to that. I'm totally with you. Like you, I refuse to "get over it." For me, this series ended after OoTP, and I will continue to write about Hermione and HARRY because that's what makes me happy.

Got news for you Jo...not everyone is in love with the OBHWF theory. Never will be, either. UGH!

So go enjoy your named asteroid, your impending sainthood, and I'm sure Emerson will want you to teach him how you walk on water.

I'm done.

It's rude of her to tell us to get over it. I still wants H/Hr, and I know she doesn't care, but that's just whatever.

However, I find it ridiculous that you are not going to read book 7. Honestly, it's her book. Whatever we want really doesn't matter.

I could NEVER hate this woman! Even if she'd kill off Harry (she won't), I'd still love her.

I still can't find this interview anywhere. After yesterday, I'm not believing anything until I see the interview myself.

The whole debacle about JKR revealing what Hermione sees in the Mirror of Erised. (Just check any major HP news site.) Evidently there was a problem with some of the transcriptions on some websites that caused misunderstandings, though my problem refers to people who'd taken only part of JKR's answer - which seemed to hint that Ron would be one of the things Hermione saw - out of context and blowing it extremely out of proportion.

Oh! Yeah, I know. And this hasn't anything to do with me not being a R/Hr shipper, but I don't think Hermione would see someone she's crushing on as her deepest desire.

Just a bit of devil's advocate here.

That part of the interview hasn't been seen from the video, only transcripts. It could be interpreted completely different than how it was delivered.

It is possible that she was not telling H/Hr shippers to get over it, but those out there that are upset with us for existing to get over it.

What the flip people? Hermione saw the war over and the trio safe afterwards! The TRIO...not just the hero and her, nor the joke and her...all three.

One of my best friends went this past week to NY to see Stephen King, John Irving, and JK Rowling at Radio City Music Hall. He called me right afterward and told me.

And I agree with anndee, it could mean that she was telling people angry with us to get over it...or she could mean that H/Hr is still a possibility and for people to get over it...or it could mean a plethora of things. We don't know.

Here's the entire article...

Heartthrob Harry 'is ousted by Ron'

Harry Potter fans desperate to see the teenage wizard get romantically involved with his swotty friend Hermione Granger may be disappointed. At a charity reading in New York, author JK Rowling reportedly appeared to suggest that the pretty witch's heart is set on pal Ron Weasley.

Rowling, who is currently writing the seventh and final book in the mega-hit series, has previously revealed that two characters will be killed off before the story ends.

According to the New York Post, she told the audience that if Hermione were to look in the Mirror of Erised, which shows one's deepest desires, she said to cheers, that she would "see herself entwined with another person whose identity you can probably guess". She also grinned when she mentioned fans who "want Ron and Hermione", according to the newspaper.

Avid fans on the internet who have debated for years which wizard would win Hermione's love were quick to assume Rowling was referring to Ron with the mirror comment.

The Post said the writer told the 6,000-strong crowd at Radio City Music Hall: "There are people who wanted Harry and Hermione." When that elicited a great roar she apparently added in disbelief: "They're still out there. Come on now."

In a video screened before she appeared, Rowling was shown in her home holding a yellow portfolio containing the final chapter of the last book, which she wrote years ago. At a press conference yesterday, fellow writers Stephen King and John Irving urged her not kill Harry off.

"My fingers are crossed for Harry," Irving, the author of The World According to Garp, said at a press conference. King said he had confidence that Rowling would be "fair" to her hero.

---------------------

now let me ask you all this....

if you didn't even read the 5th or 6th books...or were just starting out reading the series...who do you think Hermione would end up with???

She's just mad cuz she realizes she didn't write her books like she should have for everyone to fall in love with R/Hr...

if you didn't even read the 5th or 6th books...or were just starting out reading the series...who do you think Hermione would end up with???

Up to OotP (incuded), with Harry. There never was any question for me.

... You know, I don't think she quite realizes just how many of us there are.

Doubly so when I consider the fact that I know so many people who either hate Harry Potter or are indifferent to fandom, and even they have always thought it'd be H/Hr.

OMG Peeps, calm down........most of the current transcripts aren't even accurate. Some sources that were there actually said that Jo was telling people that we're booing about H/Hr being together "to get over it".

Where are your sources anyway. Got to HPANA or Veritaserum....anywhere else is just completely inaccurate....some even lied like Mugglenet about what she said.

This interview was actually a victory for us because 2 times she refused to say that it was Ron that Hermione saw in the mirror!!!!

CALM DOWN! Jo is on our side people!

yeah, it's much better if we just download the book from some illegal place. then we could read and hate her rubbish, yet she wouldn't get money for it. I imagine...
*evil laughter* oh, teh evilness of me.

anyway, I'll never get over it too. besides, we have fanfiction; it's much better and it has porn.
