I am a satisfied Dell DJ user with a minor problem on my hands. My Gen2 DJ has been working perfectly for the last year, but my kid brother borrowed my sync cable (because he lost his) and then didn't return it. Apparently, he lost mine, too. This is extremely unfortunate because now I can neither charge my DJ (because the charger cord must plug into the sync cable in order for the DJ to charge) nor add music to it.

Could anybody sell me some cords, cables, or a dock so I can listen to my music again?

Dell DJ for sale!

Would anyone be interested, or know someone who is interested, in buying a Dell DJ? I bought this thing on ebay but it just isn't what I really want. All I know about it is that it's a 15gb and it has a low battery and needs a charger. When I first got it, I was able to play it for just a tiny little while and it has excellent sound quality. I was even able to download the software and put my own songs on it without any problems. It shows signs of use with some scuff marks on it, but everything is in tact. It's just a little too heavy for what I wanted and I really need the money.

I was hoping to sell it for like $65. I tried putting it back on ebay but I don't know anything about that site so nothing worked out for me. If anyone is interested or even has any advice as to where I could sell it or ebay or anything at all, I would really appreciate it. Like I said, it's a really good player and in good shape. It works excellent and all buttons and such are completely in tact. The only problem is that it has a low battery but I don't have a charger. Comment here or send me an email at smoked_out_eyes@hotmail.com

Thanks.

I was okay at first because I thought the DJ was just cheaper, but it turns out my 30G DJ is the same price as the new generation 30G iPod. ALL my music is in AAC format on iTunes. Only about 100 of my 1600 songs were purchased from iTunes. What's the best way for me to get all my music onto my DJ? Or should I just ask my parents if I can trade it in? Thanks, lol.

Dell DJ Ditty?

Does anyone have the new "Ditty"? I've wanted an MP3 player forever now and I think I'll finally be able to get one for Christmas, but I don't know which one to get.

I don't want one that costs an arm and a leg, I don't need one that holds a million songs, and I don't see what the big deal is about the iPods. So I was thinking about the Pocket DJ because well I love Dell, then they came out with the Ditty, and I think that 220 or however many songs would be sufficient for me, I'll just use it to and from school, during school when I can get away with it, and sometimes at home or when I'm on a trip or something. Plus it has Pink Accessories (Pink earbuds, case, armband, cap, etc...)Plus it has an FM tuner, But since it's new I don't really know if it'd be worth it or whatever...

So I was wondering if any of you had it and could give me advice? Or just your general experience with Dell MP3 players etc...

Also, how is the MusicMatch or Napster to Go?(since that's what the Ditty is compatible with)

I have a dell DJ 15GB and I love it. It took me a while to like it, but honestly, it can hold more than the ipods at the same price, and it can do pretty the same thing they do. It can do voice recordings, and while it might take a while to put stuff in it, I don't know if it is any slower than the ipod takes. I am also able to put podcasts in it from itunes, which is cool. Now if only I could figure out how to make wma files into mp3s I would be set! Oh, another great feature of the Dell that I use is that I play it through my van stereo with the fm adapter thingy. I bought rechargeable batteries to use in the adapter and have not had to change them yet. Oh, you can also put books on CD in the dell.

There's a rumour that a new dell dj will be coming out this fall. Since that will mark the one year anniversary of the Dell, I'm not surprised to hear they're coming out with a new one. If you haven't bought one yet, you might want to hold off for a little bit. First, the current Dell 15/20's will probably be available on E-bay pretty soon. The refurbished ones sold by Dell will probably really drop in price. Or you may just want to get the latest and greatest.

If you can't wait, I don't blame you, I couldn't either :)

I have to admit that normally, I do not eat fast food burgers. I'm more of a fast food burrito type. But someone bought me lunch the other day from Burger King, so I got a Whopper. It turns out that on the wrapper was a free code to download a song from their website.

Cool! (Or as their wrapper says "Burger King Rocks".)

15% off ends today?

The Dell website is not the most forthcoming when it comes to when their sales end. In this case, however, they're saying "Offer ends Wednesday on selected items". Since the DJ is the only item at 15% off, I'm guessing today's the last day to get one at that price.

Over on the Dell DJ forums, they say that this sale is a pretty regular thing. 10% then 15% then back to full and then in a couple of weeks it starts again, so if you missed this one, don't despair.

I logged on to delldj.com today, and noticed the DJ20 is on sale for 15% off, with some freebies that may actually make it cheaper than the DJ15.

No clue how long the sale will last. Maybe through Labor Day Weekend?
