A discussion / reading group kind of thing is getting going for The Logic of Sense...well, to be honest Evan Duq (over at Working with concepts) suggested reading through LOS and I agreed and we've both begun to do so...not really a group BUT that doesn't mean it's not worth others joing in...so get reading, post some thoughts and let people know what you're up to...

For anyone who is in and around London there is the Volcanic Lines - deleuzian research group and you'd be most welcome at our events...we've a conference coming up in July (the strange encounter of Kant and Deleuze) and will quite probably hold at least one more colloquium session before then, perhaps two, depending on how peoples work goes. Any ideas on the application of Deleuze/ Guattari's theory of "minor literature" to an Irish context? On David Lloyd's use of it with regard to Mangan? I'm actually trying to write about Austin Clarke as a minor writer -- the ideas of minor literature as being non-subjective, non-representative and non-designatory interest me in particular with regard to his long poem _Mnemosyne Lay in Dust_, but also "The Hippophagi". But how minoritarian/marginalised are Irish writers in the English language, particularly by the 20th century? And the emphasis on revolution also disturbs me. Does a largely established, though not always Establishment figure like Clarke count?

JDS and Deleuze

Whereas I know that the work of John Duns Scotus has been hugely important and debated in both french and italian (and I am sure other european languages), his work remains almost completely used by classicists or theologians in the states. My interest in his work began, of course, with Deleuze's mention of him in Difference and Repetition, what I am curious about is other places in english I can find more critical receptions of his work. if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

(the only other one I know of is Eric Alliez's Capital Times).
