INTRO

First of all, I want to thank the effervescent (and I mean lively, not fizzy) Saundra Mitchell for steering me here and encouraging me to throw my hat in the ring.  And yes, I realize that it’s not a contest, but you know what I mean!  I’ve actually been stalking, ehem, following your blog for quite a while now and I have to say that you guys are just awesome.  Awe-some!  I am so happy to be joining you here!

So, how am I eligible, you might ask?  Well, my first novel, The Body Finder, a YA paranormal thriller, is scheduled to be released by HarperCollins on September 2nd of this year.  Wow, it seems so weird to say “this year”.  Time goes by so quickly!  Well, yes and no.  It also feels like freakin’ FOREVER…but I’m sure you know what I mean.

As for me, I live in the Seattle area with my husband and three kids.  The Body Finder is my first novel to be published, but not the first book that I’ve written.  I had an agent when I was in my twenties for a horror novel that I’d written (during my all-things-Stephen-King phase), but it never found a publishing home.  My second novel, part of my two-book deal, will be released in 2010, and will be a follow-up to The Body Finder.

Welcome Kimberly. I, too, love your writing advice. I am the same way--no how to books, no critique groups, just me. Nice to meet someone else who does it that way.
Glad to meet a fellow fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants-er. Yeah, that sounds weird. Sorry!
hi Kimberly! would you like to be part of our interview series?

I can add you! (see other post for info, but basically you will be interviewed on your release date by one of the debut 2010 authors!)

I would LOVE to (and am, at the same time, terrified at the prospect of embarrassing myself)! This is very exciting!!!
Congratulations and welcome, Kimberley!

I'm so glad too! How great are all of you??? What a wonderful welcome!
I review YAs with a Northwest connection for the Oregonian. You should make sure your publicist sends me a copy. It's not a guarantee, but it's a good chance.

Yea, Seattle! I have many happy memories there. Welcome to the Debs!
You've been a few places, haven't you? Seattle's a pretty good one, you know, unless you hate the rain and enjoy an occasional sunbreak between November and, say, May. Yeah, I miss the sun...

But thanks for the warm welcome! I'm so excited to be here!!!
