Hi, I've been using Debian since May, and I like it a lot. Unfortunately, I don't have internet at home, so can't use aptitude to install things that aren't on the CDs I downloaded. I want to install some more things, some games I found online, some of this some of that, but the best way I've thought of to do this (aside from getting internet at home) involves heading to the library, downloading what I want to a pendrive, trying to install it from source at home, then figuring out which dependencies are missing from the errors I get during install (which of course only tells me about the first missing dependency). Then I trot back to the library (well, rollerblade back to the library), try to find the dependencies I'm missing, go back home, etc. etc.
Is there a better way to do this that I am unaware of? |
