deathly_lollows, an LJ community for quality humorous Harry Potter fan fiction, art, icons and essays.
At this stage, membership is through application or invitation only. If you are a writer, artist, icon-maker or meta author above the age of fourteen, you are eligible to apply for membership no matter what pairing or rating you write or draw for, so long as your work is of a humorous nature and a high standard.
Q) I write slashfic. Am I still eligible to enter?
A) We accept any and every pairing, and any rating, so long as your fic is funny.
Q) Will everyone who applies to be a member get accepted?
A) Sadly, no; we want to handpick the funniest and cleverest stuff out there, and as such we will be reviewing all your work to see how appropriate for the comm it is. If you want your application to stand a good chance, make sure you pick the best stuff you've got, ensure that your fics/meta are beta-edited and original, and if you've made icons, be sure to give credit for skins/other people's art etc.
Q) How can I improve my chances for getting into the comm?
A) I've written a super handy-dandy list of hints right here, and it will definitely help you putting your application together.
Q) What are the rules for the comm?
A) A complete list of rules is here.
Q) I don't want to post fics or art, but I still want to be able to read the comm and comment on fics and art. Can I do that?
A) Sure! While we'll keep membership for those who have applied to us and meet our application criteria, you're most welcome to friend the comm and comment wherever you'd like.
Q) My art is rated NC17 or higher. Can I still join the comm?
A) If we like your art and it's funny, of course; however, all NC17 material must be posted behind a cut.
Q) Where can I send my application to join the community?
A) Right here. All submissions will be screened for your privacy.
Q) HELP ME, GUN!
A) If you need help desperately, my email is adjectived_noun@hotmail.com, and if you check my LJ userinfo page, you can find my IM details for pressing matters.
Q) Can I submit stuff that's hosted elsewhere that I've written?
A) Sure!
Q) Do you guys take crossover fics or fics that feature real people?
A) To both - definitely! We all love really ingenious crossovers.
Q) My friend is totally awesome and funny. Where can I rec them for membership?
A) If you know someone on LJ who deserves to be in this comm, rec them here and I can check out their stuff. There's no guarantee they'll be invited, but it's putting their name out there, at least, and all suggestions are appreciated!

Disclaimer:

Please ensure that all fics longer than 500 words/rated R or above, and all art rated R or above, are placed behind a cut. Please place all meta/essays longer than 500 words behind a cut, and if you've made more than 10 icons, please place these behind a cut.
