AboutWith the Potterocalypse upon us, there's just enough time for hardcore Harry Potter fans to get in one last reading of the entire series by the stroke of midnight on July 21, 2007.
We are currently reading Deathly Hallows in the chapter-a-day style. This means there WILL be spoilers for the final book*, and there will NOT be cuts required. If you still wish to avoid spoilers, this is not the community for you!
*up to the current day's chapter, see below for the schedule
Starting on Feburary 9, we will be reading one chapter per day to get ourselves completely (insanely?) revved up to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This community is here to encourage those reading to stay on schedule by promoting daily and weekly discussion of chapters.
This community is not for speculation regarding potential events in Deathly Hallows.
Anyone is welcome to join the community and add their thoughts. While it is understandable that people might get ahead or behind the scheduled chapters, members are asked not to post thoughts about any upcoming chapters. Every Friday night a weekly rehash post will be made of all the chapters scheduled in the past week.
On July 20, general member posting will be turned off, to make sure that no spoilers for Deathly Hallows are posted as the book begins to be released. Members who will not be reading the book immediately for whatever reason are encouraged to remove this community from their friends list at that time. On August 1 posting will be restored, and we will begin chapter-a-day discussion of Deathly Hallows.
