[Mod Post] Member of the Month: Nominations!

Member of the Month

February is nearing, which means January is ending, which means we can now have our first attempt at Member of the Month Nominations.

This month hasn’t been very busy, so you might find nominations hard… but if anyone comes to mind, nominate them! Otherwise we’ll have to cancel this month’s.  I'm hoping this will increase community interaction, and more people will participate, hoping to get noticed and nominated! =D I really want this community to be alive again... I personally no longer find pleasure in making icons, however if it's what it takes, I will start creating them again, but I need everyone else to make an effort too!

Nominate a person who you think deserves the “Member of the Month” title – it will serve not only as a testimony to someone’s amazingness, they will also have the benefit of being advertised all over the community, which would be handy for those with artistic tendencies. They will have a little section in the community profile, and when/if we have a new layout, they’ll get a little section there too.

When you nominate, you have to state their username, and the reasons why you think they should be the MoM. It doesn’t need to be an essay, so don’t let a sentence of two put you off of nominating!

Reasons why someone could be the Member of the Month:

    [x] Member has posted good quality icons this month.
    [x] Member has been posting constructive/encouraging comments to people’s icons.
    [x] (…Maybe not this month but…) Member has been actively participating in the contests, especially if they’ve been a good sport about it – for example, still persevering even if they don’t win, or they’re always there voting.
    [x] Member has improved the quality of their graphics throughout this month.
    [x] Member has been very helpful to new members or has been telling people nicely when they’ve broken rules, before the mods get to them XD;
    [x] Etc…etc…etc…

Remember that your choices (you can make several nominations) should be concentrated on events during this month, you can take general behaviour and things into consideration, but concentrate on the month.

At the very end of the month, you’ll be able to vote for the member you want out of all the nominees, taking into consideration why they were nominated.

When the MoM is announced, the other members will have the opportunity to write testimonies for that member, as a little bit extra~ And the MoM will even get a month/season-themed banner for them to keep, which will give reasons as to why they’re such a wonderful person. Once the next month has passed and it’s time for the next MoM, the previous MoM won’t be forgotten, but added to a list/archive.
