And, sigh.

We're still only a baby community, and we haven't had any x-rated works yet, but still. Given the recent climate around LJ, it's probably safest for all of us if we cover ourselves from the beginning.

And if you don't know what I'm talking about, I'd really like to come and live in your world.

So. A small policy change.

All posts rated MA, R, NC-17 or 18+ ( depending on your preferred rating system) or sexually explicit works of fiction or art should include a header note that all major participants are over the age of 18. Please do not lie and say the characters are over 18 if they are clearly not.

This is to protect the community, of course, but it is also to protect you, and your own journal.

I'm not planning on going anywhere, and I'm not planning on moving the community anywhere, but if the you-know-what hits the Whomping Willow and fandom moves out, I'll probably duplicate this community at Greatest Journal.

If you have any other suggestions for other policies, please, let me know!

Hey guys! Like all of you, I'm a Luna/Dean shipper. I was converted by Deathly Hallows, as it is so obvious they become more than friends at shell cottage. I've just finished a little fic about them which tells the story of what they were doing before they entered the cottage, wet and with arms full of driftwood. Welcome to Dean Loves Luna, the oh so artistic pairing of Harry Potter fandom. It's probably a little premature of me to actually create a community before I have any content for it at all, but I am working on a Shell Cottage fic, just like everyone else. :) I'll post a little bit below, just so the community doesn't seem really sad and lonely.

If you want to do introduction posts, that would be lovely, but I'm not going to set a format or anything. I'm a bit lazy like that.

I'm kaymbee, which is k.m.b, or Kirstee. I've been around HP fandom for five or six years, it was my first fandom and it has outlived all the others so far. If you know me at all, it's probably not from online, but from conferences - I was Minister of Magic at The Witching Hour and on staff at Phoenix Rising. I'll probably also be at Termius. I shipped Dean/Ginny way before JK did, and then she killed it, but then she gave us Dean/Luna, and I fell in love again. :)

(Working) Title: Sunshine and Roses
Rating: Right now, PG. Eventually, R.
Summary: Shell Cottage is boring. Luna is not, and Dean wants to draw.
Notes: very, very unfinished.

It was only a little uncomfortable, at the beginning, living with his
ex-girlfriend's brother. It was not safe for Luna to go home yet - her
father was still in the Death Eaters' grasp - and Dean, he hated to
admit, had no where else to go. He couldn't go home, and he wasn't
allowed at Hogwarts. If he left the protection of the Weasleys, he'd
be picked up and thrown in Azkaban. He felt helpless, but it was
better than the alternative.

Molly Weasley had suggested perhaps Dean and Luna would prefer to
leave Shell Cottage with Mr Ollivander, but Bill had tactfully
persuaded her that it would not be wise to move Dean in with his
ex-girlfriend and her rowdy twin brothers. Dean had felt sure Luna
would go and stay with Ginny, but to his surprise, she had preferred
to stay at the cottage, as she'd apparently discovered a nest of
Snargle Pixies.

He'd found himself warming to Luna without thinking about it. After a
while, he stopped noticing the strange things she said, and started
noticing the way she had a soothing effect on the others. Even
Hermione, who often snapped at Luna's oddities, seemed more relaxed
when Luna was in the room.

There was a change in the house today, though. He'd woken in the
sitting room alone - well, Ron and Harry were gone. Luna was there,
munching toast and reading one of Fleur's books.

'Can you read French?' Dean asked, curious.

'Good morning, Dean,' Luna said happily. 'I cannot, but there are some
lovely sounding words. I imagine they say something beautiful.'
