| [Mod Post] Our new name and member nickname |

Our new name which was voted on by the members in the October 2006 meeting
Our member nickname voted on by the majority in our forum post about our name change
We're no longer referred to as DAF, DAFers, and all of that. It will be Deltaku (Delaware + Otaku).
In addition, our name has changed. Please update your myspaces, signatures, profiles and what not accordingly. Our new name is DACE. We will still use the old DAF links like www.delawareanimefans.com, our ml, this link and what not to help eliminate confusion. That and the DACE name is too long for a url (lol).
Website changes to reflect our change will take place shortly. In the meantime, feel free to make us some DACE and Deltaku graphics. We'll need them.

| Special DAF Go League meeting with Guest Speaker |

For anyone who's been interested in taking up the game of Go, there’s no time like now to do it! The Delaware Anime Fans (DAF) Go League (daf_go_league) will be hosting an informal Go seminar at the July 15th Hockessin Library meeting with special guest Dr. Peter Nassar, founder of the Penn Go Club and Vice President of the Philadelphia Baduk Association. Dr. Nassar will be going over various fundamentals of the game as well as using workbooks and an oversized hanging Go board to look at and review Go problems. Don't hesitate to drop by and check this out, you're sure to come away from it w/ a better understanding of one of Asia's most popular board games. Expect to play some games too. Hope to see you there.

| DE Anime/Go Meeting 7-8 |

We have quite a line up. On 7/8/2006 | 12:00 pm to 4:45pm DAF and the DAF Go League will be having a meeting at the Newark Library. The anime viewing will be a marathon of Full Metal Panic Fumoffu 1-4. What we don't finish gets carried over to the next meeting. Afterwards, we're heading to the Newark Regal 17 in Peoples Plaza to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Viewing times to be announced. If it's anything like our X3 trip, the movie should start every 15 - 30 minutes. As usual, Japanese snacks such as Hi Chew, Ramune and Pocky will be on sale as fundraising for the club. Arrive early for gaming (bringing games is allowed) before the viewing. Feel free to bring friends.
