Podcast: The Call to Arms Hey everyone!
This has been in "planning" for a while now, but we've been putting it off and putting it off, but I'm finally ready to start something.
DAS is looking to do a podcast, and we need your help! There's a few different ways you can help-
1) The easiest way! As you're going about your web surfing, if you happen to come across any articles of interst related to Anime, Manga, or related fandoms (or even the industry!), post it to
http://del.icio.us, and tag it with the tag DASCast (along with any other relevant tags, off course.
2) The slightly harder way! Join in the podcasting fun! We're gonna have a rotating roundtable of people (probably 4 or 5 people each week) discussing the week's anime news, so we should be able to give a bunch of different people a chance to join in. If you want to do this, you'll need the following things
A) A Microphone. Prefferably a semi decent headset one.
B) An account on del.icio.us, so you can access the stories being discussed.
3) The hardest way! In addition to the roundtable, we're hoping to spotlight the works of DASers. If you have any kind of segment you'd like to record for the show- be it a story about events going on in the fandom community, perhaps an interview you set up and record with someone in the industry, or whatever. We'll give you a place to play it.
The plan at the moment is to record the podcast once every 2 weeks, on Friday evenings at 7pm. For the time being, we'll call it a Podcast of Indeterminate Length, until we figure out exactly how long we're gonna run most times (I figure an hour at most). If things start to work out really well, we can make it weekly. If things work out POORLY, maybe go monthly.
So, yeah. It's time to do this thang. Who's in?!
