So I just re-watched BUABS...
And I'm quite distressed. I fell in love with DeanJo again and I feel that Kripke has shafted us. They finally gave her some backbone and turned her into a three-dimensional character and then she was gone. She hasn't been mentioned, and I don't see her coming back, even though I want her to SO much. While I understand that her character became older and wiser, so did Dean's character and I felt that he should have wanted to call her or at least change something. I mean, she saved his life and patched him up and he just stayed the same. Sorry, I'm ranting, but everyone over at the CW boards hates Jo, so...yeah.

I'm new here, but I've been doing a lot of reading and will be posting a fanfic tonight or tomorrow. It depends on if it'll get finished the way I want it to.

thanks :) I'll hopefully have it up later today...I'm having trouble finding an appropriate ending. The original ending is now a one-shot fic because it was too fluffy for this story...:)

me too :) It's just not right for this long piece...but I promise I'll have fluff up! haha

Would you be willing to read it so far and tell me what you think I should do with the ending? If so, message me your email and I'll email the story so far to you...I'd really appreciate it!

You know that's one of the few things I don't like about SN. They create a great character, SOME fans don't like it (usually her) and the charater has to go. Was the same with Bela. Funny enough a lot fans who hated Jo, started to like her when Bela and Ruby came to the show. I would love to have Jo back, at least for an episode, but there are two seasons ahead of us, so maybe the producers will change their mind...

I agree...and the fans that don't like Jo are the ones that don't really like the idea of Dean OR Sam having a long-term love interest. They should get over that phobia. Dean and Sam will still be hot. haha

Yeah, I can stomach Ruby but Bela just makes me want to hurl.

The problem was with the writers not giving Jo a definitive age, I think. Her final scene showed so much growth and it was heartbreaking that it was the final one...

I hope they change their mind...I think we should keep up with the letter-writing campaign...maybe a petition, too...

I think peoples biggest problem with Jo is she seems useless as a character to most people. They don't see her value other than a possible love interest and everyone seems to see her as the demon Meg did, a school girl that is trying to play with the big kids and she's biting off more than she can chew.

I, myself, however do not see Jo that way. I think she's way better than the majority of the female guest stars they have. Yes, Jo is a little naieve and such but that will change as she spends more time around Dean, Sam and hunting, which her mother Ellen doesn't want her doing.

I like Dean and Jo and think they could have an interesting plot line between them simply due to the fact that yes, Jo has a crush on Dean and no matter how you argue it Dean feels something for her or he wouldn't have did what he did in "Born Under A Bad Sign" when he just took off. In Dean's mind leaving Jo behind and no talking to her he's doing her a favor by not getting involved with her. The fact that he likes her scares him and he's not used to that kind of feeling.

The producers/directors brought Jo in for one purpose...a possible ongoing love interest for Dean, but they didn't play her out well enough and so it blew up in their faces and people don't like her now so they just wrote her off after 4 episodes.

You wanna know something odd? When you've got time look around the Supernatural fan fiction areas and do the numbers. Strictly heterosexual pairings, you'll notice that people seem to favor Dean and Jo...if she's so hated then why is most heterosexual fan fiction in regards to Dean paired off with Jo for? I realize that maybe the people that hate her don't write fan fiction for Supernatural but numbers don't lie. To me that's saying something.

I'm done rambling for the time being.

Go Dean/Jo!
