I talked to Mom last night, and I've decided to make this quarter my last quarter.

Maybe I can take up culinary later on in life. But right now, it's not the most stable place for me to be. I hate school, I hate my teachers, and most importantly, I hate Mondays.

Well, hating Mondays really isn't that important. I think what I meant to say is that I hate the ridiculous amounts of needless papers that I have to do.

Peace and bare feet

SORRY CHARLES! [Oct. 14th, 2008|11:49 am]

nessakitty
PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is

qualified. Apparently the right wing knew about this in advance and are flooding the voting with YES votes.

The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by

mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters

in swing states.

Please do two things -- takes a couple of seconds.

1) Click on link and vote yourself.

Here's the link: http://www.pbs.org/now/polls/poll-435.html

2) Then send this to every single Obama-Biden voter you

know, and urge them to vote and pass it on.

The last thing we need is PBS saying their viewers think

Sarah Palin is qualified.

Also, forgot to mention this...walking to work today, headed toward corner...drops of dry blood. Snap pic. Turn corner.

LOTS AND LOTS of fat drops of dried blood, and on the wall as well. More snaps. Intend on asking Anne Marie wtf on the way home. I only took 4, and it was still there on the way home, but it is too dark. I want to take more. There was not a lot concentrated in one place, but kind of ALL OVER. It trailed down the street for blocks. I didn't have time to keep snapping pics, so I grabbed 4 closest to the wall.

Apparently some kid got stabbed...ON MY CORNER last night. In the eye and chest. One neighbor saw him being chased up the cross street to mine by two kids. She didn't see a knife or even the blood in the darkened street, just that he got beat quick and they ran. then he turned around to head back the way they had chased him from holding his face. The blood was only noticed the next day, when cops came to ask her about it. Apparently...he got about 4 blocks down and DIED.

So, there was, basically, a murder on my corner.

My neighborhood. Which is NOT generally considered unsafe. MY STREET. Where I feel safe.

he was 19. The kids got into a dark honda. The cops have been prowling our neighborhood like mad.

pics of the blood. perhaps the saddest one in my blood drops in the streets of boston series )

(Hat-tip Bob Lewis)

Republican Sarah Palin mistook some of her own fans for hecklers Monday at a rally in the parking lot of the Richmond International Raceway.

The crowd had spread across the lot, and scores of people on the outer periphery more than 100 yards from the stage could not hear.

"Louder! Louder!" they began chanting, and the cry spread across the crowd to Palin's left.

Palin stopped her remarks briefly and peered toward the commotion.

"I hope those protesters have the courage and honor to give veterans thanks for their right to protest," she said mockingly.

Bonus: On a sunny day in which many had stood in place for more than three hours without shade, at least 25 people collapsed from heat-related illnesses and three were hospitalized.

Let's hope they all had health coverage, eh, Barbie?

Ben: You always have such eloquent and clean nostrils.
Me: That's because I pick them.

--

In a sudden burst of inspiration (or self-loathing) I began to clean my bedroom. I was up after work until my body slowed down to a crawl. Four A.M. bedtime.

Ultimate goal is to streamline my belongings, stop being a packrat, reorganize and redecorate. My bed is piled high with clothes that need to go into the closet, so I'm sleeping in the guest room.
